WOW, looks amazing, “Memory” resided opposite our place, on, LT Creek, Lake Macquarie, and it is so wonderful to see her so beautifully restored, I know Ken, her former owner would be looking down and smiling with such pride at the job you guys have done. Tight lines and safe cruising.

where does the timber move when it gets wet? epoxy doesn’t move timber does when it get wet, even above the water line. So looks like your up for a full glass over job. That’s ok at least the Oregon will last. Spilling in the gaps with similar timber may have been smarter, but you obviously have a good advice to use epoxy filler in a carvel plank?….

You should be rope caulking that boat the caulking you should never fiberglass over an old wooden boat

In the part that the lift came to get your boat, you have put guitar music under it, and it's our National anthem! ( Dutch national anthem). So...that got you your six hundred and 1 subscriber! 😃 Love you're boat! Here is mine... kzbin.info/door/57VBtQIpQ-nbynO2f8H1dA Looking forward to the next episode guys! Amazing results! You really should be wearing PPE when spraying. That stuff is no joke. be safe.
@philkakid5617 Жыл бұрын
As a veteran of 20+ years of boat building, I can say you are absolutely right. In one case, one of our painters died of lung cancer after spraying boats without using adequate PPE. I know this is likely a one time deal, but there are long term effects that are unknowable.

I’m glad to be one of the small part of the human race that associates the name Halvorsen with the best holidays we ever had in the 60s, 70s & 80s. Starting in ‘68 with mum & dad on a 25 footer and progressing over the years to hiring two 36 footers with a dozen friends in the late 80s. It was always worth the 2.00am departure from Melbourne for a 10 hour drive to Hornsby then a week of bucolic pleasure. 😎

Great channel. One comment (probably too late) the hitter support should be between two stringers or ribs, not directly on the planks. It will push the planks to open.
