Ah I remember as a 14/15 year old helping out at this railway. In the wagon shop were two Austerity 0-6-0 locos belonging to Max. One of which was in ticket and the other in restoration. Being small I was in both the firebox and smoke box removing tubes. Happy days driving steam engines at such an early age and helping with the work around. Oh and there wasn't any weeds then.

I hope that the St Nicholas Cliff Lift can be restored to use again soon; it's such a shame that it's been turned into a café and ice cream parlour since it closed in 2007 because Scarborough Borough Council couldn't afford to get it upgraded to modern health and safety standards because it had been operating at a loss. Maybe if it was a National Lottery funded project, it could be viable to restore to working order again, as it would probably cost hundred thousands of pounds to fully restore it.

I collect many 1/43 scale vehicles. The standard of Oxford 1/43 is declining.. the new military Land Rovers are appalling, windscreen wipers moulded into the windscreen, no exterior mirrors at all, even painted rear lights on one of them. Rubbish compared with other manufacturers and I no longer buy Oxford products.

Great video, Gary! Strange thing that all the Cararama Defenders 110 have the rear mud flaps on a position like the Defender 90, prompted on the end of the body 🤦. Have you ever noticed it? LOL

This channel is gold for me but in my country you cant even find cararama s on 2nd hand anymore. Not many variants have come here i presume and not many collecters were there when they were selling these 10-15 years ago.
