Hi there! Unfortunately I wasn't able to. I have an Android Samsung and the app isn't available for non-Japanese Android phones (to my complete surprise, and disappointment. I personally think that's unacceptable for a mass transit system). Non-Japanese Android phones do not have the hardware installed to use their phones digitally. I had a physical suica card and just reloaded it with physical cash since I needed physical cash anyways for some things.

Interesting! What do you like to fly between Germany and North America? I've been considering Condor and some other airlines for some future trips to Germany.

@jviation737 BA has the Best catering and service, but you have to go through LHR which is hectic. KLM isn't bad but they have a big fleet of old a330s. Try Condor, they have a brand new fleet and I've heard great things.

Hi there! I've never experienced being fearful of flying or anything of that nature, so it's a little foreign for me; however, experience with things we're nervous about greatly helps. Maybe taking short flights or doing a discovery flight at your local flight school can help. Furthermore, knowing that air travel is incredibly safe and things are okay can help whenever you're nervous.

Yes! I may work on and release a different airline or flight in-between so it's not repetitive with just Lufthansa reviews.

Hi there! I disagree, actually. I'm roughly 6'1" myself, and I found the seats pretty comfortable. The recline can be annoying if you don't recline yourself, but even with the seat ahead of me reclined, it wasn't more or less of an issue compared to other airlines I've flown on. I'd definitely choose Cathay over United and many other airlines when flying to Hong Kong.

@jviation737 I can't speak for any other airline but being 6ft 3in, my knees are quite literally at the pockets of the seat I am behind. I should have taken a picture.

I don't necessarily mind. I flew Lufthansa FRA-HND, and we avoided Russian airspace, which added a good bit to our flight time; however, with the recent Azerbaijan Airlines situation, I absolutely understand why someone would hesitate or be concerned about flying through it.

You'll have a great experience!! Cathay is a safe, reliable carrier, and they'll provide great food, entertainment, and comfortable seats for your trip. I'm a pilot myself, and I wasn't worried about the safety or professionalism of the crew; they did a great job

I absolutely agree; aisle seats are great for longer flights when you might be cramped in with tight legroom. Funny enough, a passenger in the aisle had his leg struck by one of the galley carts during this flight when the cabin was dark-guess there's always something to look out for. Cheers!

Hi there! I absolutely agree; it's not entirely fair to criticize the crew for a dirty lavatory (and it wasn't super dirty or anything) when there are hundreds of passengers over the course of a 14-hour flight. They have to rest and their duties too. I went to the lavatory sometime around the halfway point when everyone was sleeping and the cabin was dark, so it's likely they hadn't noticed or done their cleaning yet. Either way, I still had an outstanding flight on Cathay Pacific, and I'd definitely go out of my way to connect through HKG again to fly with them again. Hi there! I definitely see the appeal. I actually flew Hong Kong Airlines from NRT-HKG and recorded some footage for a trip report on that later. I agree that the full-service Asian carriers like Cathay, JAL, ANA, Starlux, EVA, and China Airlines are outstanding, and I do have plans to fly on them in the future. I wouldn't say Hong Kong Airlines was better than carriers like JetBlue, Southwest, or Alaska, but I'm planning on and would love to fly more Asian carriers (both full service and low cost) to experience them.
