I wanna know how i haven't heard of the group before and I follow many a capella groups. 😮 whelp I'm subscribed now, just search them, and I will definitely be checking them out when not listening to audio books or watching reaction videos

Ismt the "trust is not given its forged" part a mirror of Scylla (where the trust is broken) "Die in the blood where you lay"?

Love Bass Gang. Manav is pretty new to me, but I will be looking him up. This version of More Than Words is fabulous.

"More than Words" was absolutely beautiful. Tomi's falsetto is so flawless, you'd NEVER think he could growl down to a G0, and Peter's tenor range... like, HOW??? How is this man an operatic bass? As for "Zero to Hero"... daaaaaang Peter brought in the BIG GUNS, hahaha! I had to pause from laughing so many times when I first watched it. That's going way up onto my acapella playlist. I suddenly realized I wasn't actually following Manav. That was corrected right away. He's so amazing! I can't wait to see your interview with Peter. He's a great interviewer, so insightful. GO FOLLOW THE BASS GANG EVERYONE!

Thank you Mortius, I always enjoy your reactions! Especially as I didn't know about Zero to Hero, I will have to go check it out further. Plus, I LOVE TBG's rendition of more than words. It moved into my head and has been living there rent free for ages. I loved the original way back when, but I think I love this one version even more. As always, I appreciate your commentary, I learn so many things from you.

“And I could be enough.” That’s the heartbreak line that resonates with everyone who has ever loved someone who couldn’t quite love us back with the same intensity.

Odysseus’s mental struggle in the face of Circe’s seduction has always felt more like pain over the choice of sacrificing his fidelity and body or potentially sacrificing his men to me, and not that he was attracted to her. Circe literally sings “wanna save your men from the fire?” And even though he had the moly, it’s still not necessarily a guarantee that he has the upper hand, plus there’s no way he can turn his men back from pigs himself. Calypso is just a random woman proclaiming “you’re mine”, of course he immediately pushes her away when the icky vibes creep in

I’m watching your reactions to my favorite musical to help take my mind off of the storm heading my way. Wait For It is extraordinary. Having been lucky enough to see the traveling cast perform Hamilton last year, I loved the performers but I did miss Leslie Odom Junior’s iconic interpretation of this song. So many subtleties in his body language, in his face, it’s mesmerizing.

I love that you're using terms like masking and unmasking, K. Howard is basically a picture perfect victim of SA with CPTSD. I also like that you can clearly see exactly what the actress is trying to portray and can explain it so clearly. ETA: I just noticed your reaction to the "won't take no" line! You're the first reactor I've seen actually get that line!
@annekeener411915 сағат бұрын
It’s weird I’ve always heard this line from Burr as “but Hamilton still wants to fight, not right “ instead of “but Hamilton still wants to fight not write”. I think it is an intentional double. Burr is upset Hamilton got a job he really wanted and to add insult to injury, Hamilton doesn’t want the job and would rather have a different one.

10:24 now THAT'S what I call an upright piano! 😂😂😂 I love the, uh... panning(?) in the second song; as someone who is new to this group, it was really helpful in knowing who was singing what and it made the vocal space feel very big and real 😊

I've been thinking this literally all week, and then I saw someone comment it on Caspers video today so I'm shamelessly copying them: Please look into the Mechanisms! I'm not sure if there are any animatics but I know Wolfy has at least two clips. Each album is a story, for the most part its set up so every other track is narration and then a song sung by the characters. They have four albums, my favorite is The Bifrost Incident (based on norse mythology but in space!), but I think you'd really like either Ulysses Dies At Dawn (Greek mythology but in space!) or High Noon Over Camelot (Arthurian legend but in space!... and also a cowboy western). Their first album I consider the weakest but its Once Upon A Time in Space (fairy tales but in space!). I doubt there is any demand for this as a series but I genuinely think you would enjoy them if you wanted to listen in your free time. Also great video as usual, I promise I didn't come here just to recommend things lol

I haven’t added too many views to the count on More Than Words because I watched it once and went directly to iTunes. It’s on my commute playlist so I hear it ever day. I loved the original but seeing the guys put their spin on it is incredible!

It's only now dawning on me why I haven't fully dove into this show before now; it's because I'd love it too much. To truly love something is to give it the power to break you, and I know this show is going to break me.

If BG wants to throw out extras like those I'd be more than happy, it was delicious listening to them playing with all of their crazy ranges so beautifully. "If I Had a Heart" is a must, one of my favs of theirs. Oh and not to forget Manav....brilliant man, keep it up.

21:42 i guess spoiler/theory warning?? This isnt based on any information from jorge or anything, im just thinking thoughts. So you know how calypso said "last time i checked, godesses cant die!"? I dont think that has changed in between songs. Athena might be hurt but she likely isnt dead.
