Damn, this theme is basically the best advantage of playing Byzantine civ. Who would've thought that orthodox hymn can sound so majestic? It's really set you for a mood of defending Constantinople against the whole world of foes, e.g. in a Fall or Rome scenario.

It's a reminder that we don't blindly serve mortal men or a literal chunk of land. Ultimately we are longing to create a place of peace and justice that's worthy of all the sacrifices made to get there. We can't always imagine it or define it, we often can't see the wood for the trees, but still we know that we can and must do better.
