Grommet Removal at 4:30 mins. into video. There is a better way to remove the 4 plastic inserts behind the pointers which keep the dial face flat, and without breaking them. The Minitools website has a good instructional video and sells a special tool for this, which does not seem to be shippable to the USA. The operation is performed from the rear side with a tubular tool. I searched my available 'tubes' and found that a 1/4" socket seemed about right. My 1/4" nut-driver worked perfectly! Press down and twist. It squeezes the grommet sides together and starts pushing it through the hole without breaking it. I also made shims from thin cardboard instead of the masking tape. Good luck

I’ve never seen a video with that much of a difference in texture, such a stark contrast! That’s how you do it man! Personally, i wet sand when i remove clear coat imperfections to remove paint imperfections but if you’re careful like this with dry sanding technique good results appear too. Then again i worry a lot about how much clear i take off because all my cars stay outside in the elements. Great job! Oh and FIRST! Haha
