Grandfather of this shit I swear when BMF dropped by Rozay Lex was eating good for a minute then Taylor,GANG 🗣️ I was 16 turning 17 and that late 2010 - Summer 2011 rap went from weed to coke literally figuratively and sonically the transition was insane in such a short time and this man doesnt get enough flowers for birthing a new movement in rap and he’s a producer his beats made niggas have to change their lyrical content because that New York/my flow/ayoo check it shit was dying Fab,Jada,Styles etc all them east coast rappers started hitting trap beats it was crazy to witness that too Lex Luger homie shout out to you slim you are the GOAT on them keys changed the whole soundscape back then 💯🔥🐐

I respect the man, but I wouldn't say Godfather. His style was influenced by the legendary "Shawty Redd." His style of switching octaves of string instruments cam from Shawty Redd's playback. Check out the classic Jeezy mixtapes from 2005-07. You will also hear the style in the tracks "J.E.E.Z.Y. and Who Dat." All before Lex made it on the scene. But Lex held it down while Shawty Redd was locked up.

Frfr ..I miss that entire era of music honestly ..all the producers around that time were trend setting frfr wasn’t so over saturated and we actually got to know the producers behind the name and beats etc …
