How is this is a secret railway when it is part of the Swindon and Cricklade Heritage Railway line, which is open in the summer months, and I believe for certain events during the Christmas season

The best place for children lol so we could look at stuff in person but now smyths toys opened up the road and tries to be toysrus just doesn’t feel right and now it’s not abandoned just a new shop has taken it over as go outdoors (I’m a toysrus kid lollll)

It's such a shame that Swindon centre has been allowed to become so run down and grubby. Over the last 40 years it has steadily declined and, despite numerous "schemes" to rejuvenate it, the rot has not been abated.

Sometimes you forget how bad COVID has hit us when see all the shops have been closed down. I’ve lived in Swindon all my life and I don’t think I’ve ever seen town this empty before.

Great video, I have very fond memories of the town centre from when I was younger, now it is just a rotting dump - I would get out of Swindon if you still can. A real shame.

@@waverunner3911 That's the problem with Swindon. It is such a goddamn deluded place. Thinking it even has the chance of becoming a city. Hell, it even wants to host Eurovision! How sad is that? When has Eurovision EVER been hosted in a small, mediocre town like Swindon? It's always been hosted in major cities like London, Manchester, Birmingham etc This is another reason why Swindon is so hated. It tries so hard to be something it is not. Other towns don't go opting for city status, nor do they try to host any worldwide events because they do not have the resources to do so.
