Great effect but I could not quite get it to work as expected (2022 version). I created an animation with a logo spinning up from the lower left to the center plus a text with an exploding behaviour then text with a jump and fall behaviour. Looked pretty good, then I created a gradient using your instructions and added it to the Library. But when I added it as a background the playback became very jerky. Any thoughts on what I did wrong?

That's cool Joe. When I saw the title I wondered how you were going to do it as it was not readily apparent how to do a radial falloff. Nice work buddy!
@joe_dearman2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, my friend! The spotlight effect would work well here too. But, the drop shadow on a circle is about as perfect as you can get for a consistent radial falloff.
@leifalton66262 жыл бұрын
Joe, you should really mute the audio on the recording so the wind noise doesn't come through the background audio (unless of course that was intentional). Love your stuff!

You lost me about 1/2 way through. Way too fast. Didn't zoom in on what you're showing, so it's hard to do it while you're doing it. I got most of the shapes ok. The shadow looks warped. I give up.

Joe, how do you get your picture into a circle? Are you recording this screen share on Camtasia or another piece of software?
@KL-qm5cb4 жыл бұрын
Hi Joe thanks for the valuable content in your videos. I have converted the SVG into PDF in CloudConvert as you have shown. The converted pdf icon looks sharp but when I drag it into Camtasia the icon shows a bit blurred, not sharp, my canvass is 4K as you said. Please advise what am I doing wrong? Thanks

@@joe_dearman perfect. I found it last night when I watched the rest of your videos. I have a content idea for you. Could you look at more complicated videos or motion graphics created with Adobe products and try to make them in Camtasia? What Camtasia lasks is the ability to relate to content Creators outside the education/tutorial space who only record their screen. How to create great content using Camtasia is an untapped market. You have the imagination and skill to bring this content to the market. That's my two cents. Have a happy new year and I look forward to seeing more content from your channel. Onward, AW

I appreciate the suggestion. I’ll take you up on that - sounds like a fun challenge! If you see an example out there you’d like to see my try to tackle, send me a link here. I will give it a shot this week!

@@joe_dearman I'm glad you're up for the challenge. To get the biggest bang for your buck, I looked up a few search terms to find videos with high views from content creators with low subscriber counts. Here's a video with 1.5 million views by a content creator with 50k subs. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnXdhIx8gZWoo9k Let me know what you think. If it's too challenging I could find another video.

@@joe_dearmanhere's another example for you where another youtube channel has a day of the week dedicated to copying a creation or effect and presenting a "How-To" video using after affects. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4GQhJquhr6em5Y There isn't a similar content creator for Camtasia. Now, I'm not saying that Camtasia can replace After Effects or Premier Pro. But, for 85% of content Creators, Camtasia is a perfect tool for their simple projects. I'm looking forward to seeing what you try to recreate.
