I like this version better. She recorded it first and then they took her vocals out.

I’m confused. I’m pretty sure this is the only version I ever heard growing up🤷🏾♂️. The instrumental was only in commercials at least it was in my childhood home.

Hearing the instrumental and then later (much later) hearing Barbara Acklin is like going to taco bel an saying "I like Mexican food" and then visiting Mexico and eating their food, an never saying T.B is great. What a voice, so pure and, and, and downright Soulful.

I grew up hearing this version in the 70s. I never knew they removed her vocals. What a shame.

How dare they remove her vocals and add the piano then release her version later.

For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, no angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord 🙏🏼❤️

Had no idea this cut was a song with vocals. But I do remember the instrumental version, and I don't think it would have been a hit as just a song. Wow! I'm 70 years old and you learn something new everyday. After all these years.

I like this version better than soulful strut I remember hearing this version briefly on the radio as a child growing up then shortly after the soulful strut version was played all the time even now and it’s a shame that Barbara Acklin version never gets any radio play at all but unfortunately mostly she forgotten. She is the original she deserves the credit I don’t know why she doesn’t get her credit due we as fans should push her version out request everywhere. It’s almost seams soulful strut stole her songs credit.
