I’m confused about a rule of the league. Could anyone explain when and when not it is mandatory to hit it in the infield

The infield hit is mandatory in every interval of 5 batters. If you hit it on batter 1, it’s not mandatory until 10. But if you don’t hit it early, it’s mandatory at batter 5, and so forth. If you have any other rule questions, please feel free to comment!
