in terms of the actual room noice of the pad, is the mesh head any quieter than the rubber one of the old nitro kick tower?

I don't notice much difference. Maybe a little quieter. It is softer.

I ran across one of your students videos and had questions about the kit. This video seems like the place to ask.. Are the drums and cymbals color coded to aide in sight reading, accents..? If so, did you come up with that or is it a common teaching method? It’s a great idea. I haven’t had lessons in years. Wish I had that when I was learning. And your student played Eye of the Tiger well by the way. ✌️😎👍

@@scottallen6160 Hi, the color coded drums is something that I came up with and is the one and only. It helps identify the notes on the page more easily for student. All the notes in the book are color coded to the drum rings and cymbals. It’s called Drums In Color. The first method book is out and I am working on the second right now. You can buy the book on Amazon or on my website www.drumsincolor.com. On the site you can learn more about the colored system and also order the colored drum rings in poster form that you cut out on your own and can put them on your own drum set. On the site you will also find video tutorials for every exercise in the book with a monthly subscription. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@@drumlessonsbyjoshkastleman Genius method. I hope it takes off for you. I don’t really need them, I just thought it was cool. I have been playing for over thirty five years. Co-wrote 40 songs. Tom Sawyer was the first song I learned to play. Then I started memorizing albums. So when I said I wish I had your teaching tools, I meant awhile back. Thank you for responding. Again, I think it’s genius. I wonder if Drumeo could help you sell it? 🎵✌️😎

"Drums in color"....isn't that Rockband? I play Rockband scrolls on an acoustic set. You can get advanced scrolls through Phase Shift that bring the high-hat and cymbal bells into play. I personally think it is a great way to learn because you can start playing songs right away, which is really what the end goal is.

@@lordraven2264 Hi, Drums In Color is my original drum method book and system. It can be related to some concepts that you might find in video games. All the notation in the book matches the colored rings on the drums and the colored cymbals. You can learn more about it on my website www.drumsincolor.com. You can also buy the method book on Amazon. On the website you can also find the colored drum rings to purchase that go along with the book. Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for your comments!

Drum tiggers such as the KP10 should work with other drum modules such as the ones you mentioned above, as long as they take the same 1/4" jack input. The response of the tigger may vary because it is different brands but you should be able to change the settings on the module to compensate for that. I have never tried it with the modules you are talking about but I say give it a try if it doesn't work then return the KP10, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Armory kit with Caribbean Burst finish, I have the same kit. Replaced all stock heads with Evans Onyx, especially helpful on the Tomahawk metal snare to control overtones.
@Gooby123373 ай бұрын
Nice. I'll have to check those heads out. The stock heads are decent, but ya a lot of overtones on the Tomahawk and almost a little too tin-ey sounding for my taste.
