Teena Marie always was my girl I remember when SquarePants came out I was a little girl and what she said I'm going to hit you to the tea and I used to say yeah that's me because my name started with a t and my mother bought me that album I was so happy and I fell in love with Tina Marie and when I got grown I still love her I remember I was around I'll say 22 I'll never forget I was sleeping on my mother's couch and she came in there and she woke me up but the way she woke me up I thought I was in some serious trouble and I'm like okay what did I do I've been here sleep so I know I couldn't have done nothing wrong to piss my mother off she woke me up she said get up and I'm thinking okay I'm either getting ready to get put out or she is getting ready to kick my ass she said get up find you something to wear and I am still confused as she said and call one of your friends an accident do they want to go with you to see Tina Marie at the strand because I got you two tickets add shut up in store screaming I started crying I was screaming and I said Mom are you for real I thought I was in troubleshe said no I got you two Teena Marie tickets at the strand define you one of your friends at that time I know a lot of ballers no lie I called one of my friends he owned a big tow truck service can you pick me up and hi Mercedes-Benz on Dayton's I called him he picked me up we went out to the strand I'm telling you guys it was lit it was all kind of ballers and people with money it was females there with mink coats that went to the ground I'm telling you it was lit The dramatics was there The O'Jays was there we had a good time I knew the right person that I wanted to go with me because he had money and I knew that our table was going to be lit with champagne and it was I owed my mother big time for that one so you know what I did we were living in Inglewood at the time so I got her some tickets to go see the Lakers and she was happy but not as happy as I was lol
