I flew from Cali to IL just to be in the cavies in 1985 or 86. We took 2nd behind the Scouts. My friend Ben called me and said, "hey we have a spot open..u wanna come..I said hell ya." They flew me out that weekend. Had the greatest memories. Shout out To Danny, Gaurd captain and his family. Remember the "red eye" lol. O . O *faints from sheer amazement* OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I knew that many guys who did CG!!!!!!! In my area, you'd have to combine all of the guys who did CG at like 10 schools from the past 10 years just to equal the 2008 cavie color guard

@DoYouLykeTacos Since they're not affiliated with any schools or institutions, they don't have that problem. People from all over the world try out for the Cavaliers (and other top drum corps as well).

I still don't understand how you can get THAT MANY guys in one area that are interested in color guard.

you have to have some serious calves to do this. hahahahaha

Carving is SO easy! I got it on my first try! But it still looks really cool, I've never actually seen other people do it :)
