Great video. Just bought this exact bike last week. My bags are a bit scratched up on the red panel of the bag. My understanding is you can take you ca replace just the color panel, do you happen to know how this works. I saw them oem on a jhonda parts site for $125 ea. Any help would be appreciated.

Wow, lovely spread of different bikes and brands. Here in Toowoomba we just get Harley's and ninjas mostly with the occasional splattering of other brands/better bikes.

It was a real mix on bikes, but the most represented was the Honda 1100! Our CTX700 still gets attention and lots of love! I am glad I spruced her up for the event!!

I also have a CTX700 and I purchased this mount. I found that it could be mounted perfectly in the middle of the handlebars without getting in the way of the gauges too much. Love it!

The windscreen is a Puig Universal II unit, which I bought from Revzilla. I now have a smaller windscreen and would be willing to sell the Puig if you can find one! Thanks for the comments about my video! I still love the bike!

I notice that although you added a lot of great custom parts on your CTX-700 you (and no one else that I've seen) mentions or shows a radiator grill that I have on my 2014 Honda CTX 700. I wonder why that is... Mark

I thought I had a video about the Blacked out exhaust! I did look at Powder coating, but thought I would go with something I could recover from if I didn't like it. I went with the High Temp flat black from Rust-Oleum. I took the exhaust off, applied a couple coats of degreaser, gave it two coats of paint and then ran the bike to generate enough heat to seal the paint. It was quick and easy and in my opinion it was a great change! The chrome tube always got a negative comment from CTX folks, but no more for me! Most folks think it came that way now! It's a keeper! Thanks for asking!

I put this together to document his work, but then it was used to find a new owner. It took a while but it's now in another garage! Now he is working on an older pickup with corvette power!

My lights have never worked right because of those crazy connectors. They wiggle around and the light flickers. So I was always gonna replace the connectors with plug in style.

I just put a deposit down on a 2014 CTX700N with only 119 miles on it. Can't wait to pick it up on Monday. I will be doing a review on it as well.

Question & comment - How did you mount the top case? I have the Honda back rack and backrest combo....and I know I can take them off easy... How did you mount the top case? Also, yep, it looks so good so I'm gonna black out my exhaust.

I bought my E450 from Revzilla for about $175. That top case came with an attachment plate that simply attached to the OEM Honda rear deck that I already had installed. The install took less than 30 minutes.

Nice video and great job! I have the 2014 CTX700 as well in all black and this will really make it look better. Question - the top box plate you have. Does the just mount ontop of the OEM back rack you have? I have the backrest and back rack and thinking to get a top box and remove the backrest. Can you explain? Thx

As you may already know I tried a short exhaust and then went back to the silver original. I got a $125 quote to powder coat it black, but opted to use the high temp paint for about $8. It was the best mod I made to the bike IMO!

I know this is a old video but have you had any problems with the top case making a bike ride unstable. I put one on my CTX 700 and I took too much weight off the front wheel

I think there is less than 20 lbs limit, but never got there and never experienced and handling issues!
