I never saw this scene until just now. Crazy coincidence: when I was a little boy in the 1980s there was one night when everyone in my house; myself, parents, siblings; all got sick & we were all vomiting. That was a rough night. But I don't remember if it was something we ate or a bug we caught or both.

Remember they did not want a strong black father on the show in the first place. JJ has to realize that’s his mom not someone he can have his way with.
