Very nice demo. I'm a lucky 32-voice Q owner. This is a real beast. Even after 20 years, it still stands firm and it is a true exotic instrument. Will never sell mine.

I have just won a bid for a U-220 on EBay. The Fantasia bell pad is one of the reasons I decided to get one. Also many of the instrument sounds like the saxophone and marimba sound better than they do on newer Roland modules like the JV series.

Hello I have another question for you 😞 I find another big problème on my Waldorf Q So, When I press and hold a key with a long sustain sound(similar to latch) And tweak the sound,after a couple of time,all LFO doesn't work and stay blocked Really annoying! I need to retrig the key again for restart LFO I find that,if I rest holding the key and retrig another key,they don't restart! They need to retrig the same key! I dont know if it clear,but I want to know if you have this problem,because I'm in help with Waldorf support for investigate this problem(I prepare some video for him) I'm on boot 1.22 OS 3.02 Thank 😉

@kaostrip
@kaostrip 9 жыл бұрын
That's what I try to do but I'm not good equipped for 😛 But are you sure you not have this problem? For example,on mine if I not play it for maybe 30mins,all 3 LFO stop to blinking (like a kind of sleep) Do you have this on your? This is a part of the problem,because this sort of sleeping led come even when I play it,but only if I hold one key(similar to hold on prophet5)and tweak the sound(filter,DCO,ect...) And after some time(around 10/15 mins) bam all LFO stop fonction and go to "sleep"(the sound work with filter,effect,ect..but no LFO, I need to retrig the same key for it work again For test, take a initial sound (saw on all DCO with A0 D100 S100 R50) assign all 3 LFO to pitch (no matter what it sound,it's just for test) press and 👉hold👈 one key(do not retrig it) and play with LFO for 10/15 mins And tell me what happen Thank 😉

I tested, for me it's ok. My boot 1.04 os 3.02
@kaostrip
@kaostrip 9 жыл бұрын
Sure? Is that your LFO led have a sort of sleep mode when you leave the synth for 30 minute? I mean they not blinking ! They stay lighted like all led on the synth Because,I have this problem on all OS and Boot I try 3.00 3.02 and boot 1.05 and 1.22 I don't know what is wrong with it 😖 I open it,but all seam ok,hum seam because on numeric you can't really find something 😒

Bardzo udane brzmienia budujesz, podoba mi sie ogromnie. Syntezatory nowoczesne, ale nutka pozostaje oldskulowa. Bede z mila checia zagladal. Mam wrazenie, ze ta Ultranova brzmi jakos cieplej, niz Blofeld w "Memories". Hmmm.

I have since determined having the Q Keyboard, the Blofeld is really no match for it and is really an unnecessary item so using it as a controller only for my new Waldorf Pulse 2. Great sounds are had by Blofeld but nothing equals the Q. The Pulse 2 however, is awesome!!

maybe it sounds like a synth... lol... how unique can people be using the same intrument... on some base level it uses the same functions, just diff parameters. haha this is a rich complexity of diverse sounds.. of course some of them might seem remeniscent to you... esp if you appreciate synth and take notice?
