Fantastic. This is a great Bob song that never made it onto Blood on the Tracks, and a very nice rendition by Jens, as always. It is an extraordinary song, almost a source song for some of the songs on the album. Possibly as a consequence, it lacks the narrative coherence of many of the songs on the album. Unbelievably, Blood on the Tracks will be 50 years old in 2025. Highway 61 Revisited will be 60! Thanks for this interesting cover, Jens.

Excellent version, Jens - very soulful. Not really how Bert played it, but none the worse for that and a nice little lick in between the verses. People seeking Bert's own arrangement can find it on the long out of print Doug Kennedy book - The Songs and Guitar Solos of Bert Jansch (Doug basically had Bert sit down in front or him and play aboout 10 of his best songs over and over!) or on Bert Transcribed from the Bert Jansch Foundation. Both these transcriptions are very exact. Jens isn't, but he captures the spirit of the song and Bert's playing extremely well.

Thank you Robert- I know it’s not exactly like Bert Jansch played it. :-)

@@singanddanceman No, but, as I say, you have the spirit of the song very well. I've played Bert's version for many years, but I'm going to add that lick I mentioned that you do between the verses.
