The organ isn't Victorian and it certainly wasn't built in 1888...1988 would be more realistic. It is a relatively modern instrument built by Dean Organ Builders, Whitchurch, Bristol (still in business today) on the 54 keyless scale. A larger scale was the original plan but the 54 keyless scale had a large library of readily available arrangements, so it made sense to build it as a 54.

I really wish we could move away from these kind of schemes that just support people with a particular skin colour. It makes me feel uneasy that PRS are opening a scheme offering grants that only black people can apply for. Record companies not developing and supporting artists, and ripping them off, is a problem across the board, it does not affect just black people, and all those artists should be able to get support. I would hope that in 2023, people are being hired on their skill sets and not based on their skin colour but I certainly know that in the UK there can be reverse racism, and a person from a minority background is more likely to hired for a job than a white person. My local council is one of these types of employees.

Great promo and nice to see such a diverse group of music makers. I think I recognised a few at 2:56 too. Music industry is innovating so well at a time when the subject and its skills feel like they're being diminished and it's thanks to PRSF for keeping the innovation alive!

When the "n" word stops being thrown out there (because that is the only reason it is still used)and women are'nt treated as ho's in music vids aimed at kids......then maybe more respect will be due?

This is amazing, well done. I really hope that Lockdown also brings the importance of environmentalism and sustainability as alternative model to make the our artists more resilient.

Felicitations to all involved and those yet to be positively affected. Large up particularly the women of African descent in this video. Their presence in calm assuredness was so reassuring to perceive. They ain't going nowhere, so things are about to change for the betterment of all involved and yet to be involved.

Sure, but in order to fund them, you ask artists to have an exceptional background. If you have that background, you already have a bunch of people who could fund you. If you want to really help new artists to emerge, don't ask that much, you supposed to be helping us get there first.

Im sorry, but since when is gender a thing that stops people from getting popular? Ever thought about the fact that your music is not as good as the music that others make? It takes time to get popular, to get the attantion of others. This feels more like an attempt to bypass the whole process of learning to handle large crowds as an entertainer/ musician. And in the end its even more sexist and disevaluating against male musicians because you pin the success they have on thier gender, even though its more a combination of skills they honed for years. shame on you people for beeing so narrow minded. Work for your dreams, dont demand them to be delivered on a silver platter!!!

PRS are thieving predators. If you own a small business and you get a letter from them claiming you must pay for playing music in a public space, ask them to provide you with a copy of the contract. They won't be able to because there isn't one. Musicians get nothing from PRS. Never give them your name. Just tell them to fuck off.

Enjoyed the video and thoughts of this interesting composer, Django Bate. I would like to suggewst him and other musicians to get to know our Cyclophonica Orchestra, created in 1999, and a platform for performances that integrate music, movement, sports and soundscape. cyclophonicaDOTblogspotDOTcom (several youtube videos and pictures linked)
