It was a pretty loaded box for what it was! Worth it for $60!

All MVP from both?! That’s brutal, I’m sorry to hear that. The nearly all 21-22 extended retail was a little disappointing, but the second box had a bit better selection. Very hit or miss

@@1stpairingdbreaks the outsides were 21-22 but inside was all MVP minus maybe an equally exciting Parkhurst.

Not so sure we’ll open these again. Especially seeing some that have so much of the same product in the box. Back in the day Target used to have boxes that were $5-$15 that guaranteed a hit of some sort. Sad those are gone

That’s the gist of the very small sample size of information about them online. It’s always going to be retail and the bonus items are nothing special. However, you can hit some young guns, retail rookies in other products and some products still have jersey swatches in retail I believe. Fun but absolutely a gamble!

Target has come in clutch for sure! That was how both of us on here got into the hobby in high school. Those flagship tins, retail blasters and such. There even used to be $5 mystery boxes from MJ Holdings, but those have a… shady reputation hahaha. Now those Dollarama mystery packs are something we’ve never had here before hahah. Appreciate the comment as well! Glad that you enjoyed the break, even if a simple one!

@@1stpairingdbreaks I sometimes get blasters and boxes from Walmart, but they rarely have stock in. Everyone buys it up in quantity as soon as they come in. I don't usually have a chance to get any. I started going to a card shop because of it. But some blasters and boxes are cheaper there. Walmart is more convenient to get to.

Maybe it’s just by virtue of location, but the Target or Walmart stores in the states sometimes keep stock of hockey. Of course basketball and baseball are a bit more popular here, but the tales of breakers buying up all of the stock exist here as well. It’s unfortunate that so much of the product is controlled by relatively few sources. Dave & Adam’s and Steel City Collectibles sometimes have good deals if you don’t mind shipping however!

@@1stpairingdbreaks If that's in the States, if I get hit with a tariff, it would be massive. I don't like risking it. I buy from Canada only either through Amazon or Ebay(as long as the Ebay seller is based in Canada). If I ever visit the states, I'll be one of those people buying up in quantity while there, haha.

I understand that alright, the shipping on EBay between here and Canada is sometimes more than the cost of a card! DA Cards is in New York I think, near Buffalo and Steel City is of course Pittsburgh. Miraj Trading Cards is based out of Quebec though! They have some decent deals shipping wise! We’re sort of Leary of 23-24 stuff right now, the whole Bedard inflation is very inconvenient
