Doing the same run right now and I am at this point just saved and Im tired tomorrow I will continue but I have full health and the full body armor ... just restart every time I get hit and save a lot... and I have the black tail, the red 9 and the sentinel 9 fully upgraded, doing pretty well at this point. I have goteen hit 3 times in the whole game but each time I got hit I would restar the encounter.

I'm currently doing this triple triad run with the Blacktail, I'd taken one hit the entire game (Water Room) until this room... Managed to get through with 2 hits, and thankfully didn't take a hit from any Novi's.

I think the dogs in the courtyard are where I took the most damage initially. Most annoying fight for me was Saddler, for sure. And in retrospect, the Blacktail feels like a much more reliable option than the Red9.

@@Sandor_Umbra Yeah I feel like the Red9 lost its luster from the original version when it had 6.5 against Blacktail 4.5 power, it's 4 against 3.6 in the remake. I managed to get by okay with the dogs, I was not expecting that. Took a few hits from Verdugo before circling him until the lift arrived but countered that by massively lucking out and not taking a single hit from Salazar.

From getting the "kill a garrador with a knife" achievement on assisted, I'm pretty sure with the Primal knife maxed out you only need 4 stabs.

I’ve only tried with the Primal Knife for its exclusive trait. Since Krauser’s knife effectively has a 3.6 attack rating (with its exclusive trait) vs Primal Knife’s 1.2, I’d certainly think it would kill them faster. Just never tried it, personally.

@@Sandor_Umbra That's my bad, I assumed Krauser's knife was in reference to the primal knife. I admit because you get Krauser's so late I only used it a few times and then sold for the exclusive Primal on the 2nd playthrough.

It's pretty easy if you're a dex/luck build. Just aggro one of them,anri's straight sword with the carthus rouge buff. Just wait for him to do his lightning breath attack,R1 spam,and laugh at how fast they die haha.

The one hit strategy. Agro one, run to the ladder and climb up enough where you wont get hit by his attacks and not much more than that. Wait till they do the specific charge attack, at the end of their attack they snap their mouth shut and point their nose up in the air. You need to time a plunge attack to land on them while their nose is in the air, if timed right it will parry/riposte them. Go in for the reposte and then you can choose to kill them while they are down afterwards. Do this for one then two doggo and then its like you dont have to fight them ever. The one on the bridge can also be riposted but you have to do that without a plunge haha good luck.
