amazing to get an even deeper and intimate imagining of what it must've been to have been then present. hope they're considering publishing a complete "Jazz at the Pawnshop" 50th Anniversary boxed set, in whatever flavor is deemed most ultimate then, for the last several years I've been enjoying the SACD-Hybird set which sonically gives me a seat in the room, with much gratitude going to the thoughtful sound stage as set by Gert Palmcrantz.

Thanks, Gert Palmkrantz, for the wisdom to capture the acoustic environment with the music. This recording sets a standard for good recording technique. I imagined fewer mikes were used, but this makes sense, a live recording has some risks, with unwanted banter whatnot. The audience were quite well behaved, keeping the banter at a civil level. I hope more recordings will be done in like fashion.

Nice guitar. It's a pity he starts to scat over the top. Not needed.

In the late 60´s I got my first Made In Sweden album. "Snakes in a hole". From the single "I dont care" Ive learnt about these 3 very skilled musicians (Tommy "slim" Borgudd, drums, Bo Haggstrøm bass , and Jojje ). On "Snakes,,," there was KRISTALLAN DEN GRYMMA ( recorded here with the "right" titel Fina as opposit to Grymma ). Now, if you ever get the chance to hear "den Grymma" version, do that. Its a Masterpiece of jazzrock.
