I'm guessing the bass player was too ugly, or maybe the bass part was pre-recorded and he just wasn't there at all anyway.

Herby Wallace made a tablature (in the '70's) that shows every note that Buddy Emmons played on his "Danny Boy" recording. Not sure this tab is still available; since the great Herb is passed on; but it might still be available. May Jesus rest Herby's soul,

Herby was a true master. I had the pleasure to hear him play once at a Dallas Intl Steel Guitar convention. What a sound!

This tablature is in De Whit Scott's pedal steel guitar tuition book , Not sure if it is in the "Steel guitar Method" book or his "Anthology" .......memory tells me it could be his "Anthology of the steel guitar".

Is this able to be played on a 3 pedal 4 knee lever steel btw?
@stephenleal0014 жыл бұрын
Hi Eric Rhoton , yes indeed! 3 pedals (standard ABC), 3 levers (1. Lower Es, 2. Raise Es, 3. Lower string 2 a whole step and string 9 a half step). 4th lever is optional. I’d raise string 1 a whole step, string 2 raise a half step, and if you have a third rod raise string 7 a whole step. Let me know when you get a steel and I’ll walk you through it.
