It is indeed a very sad day as it is the 60th Anniversary since the loss of a great ship and shipmates. Thanks everyone for your comments here as I had a very difficult time putting this tribute together. Yours aye Les Sheehan

My grandfathers brother Donald was the leading radio operator on the vessel when it went down, D.E Macfarlane, RIP

Had a mate who was a bunting on the Voyager. Survived. Told me the last thing he remembered were two effing great anchors coming down on him. He passed a away a couple of years ago. Good dit on the Aussie Comms Site. Billy Bacon was his name.

I sailed with Billy, on either the Vamps, or Vendetta. My memory is a tad vague and I too, was in the Comms. Tactical branch. He was a good guy.
