i bought a collection from someone who had complete sets of d & p era sets. graded a ray from holo phantoms and it came back a psa 10 was so happy. a lot of the gold stars came back psa 8's. these were cards that were from their childhood with no penny sleeves. straight from pack to binder.

If i knew i had a PSA 10 B&W full art i'd get it graded by Beckett... PSA wants 10% the value of the card after grading screw that.

Problem with B&W - centering was atrocious.

3:40 Terastal Festival beats B&W on texture and so will prismatic evolutions but i agree - nothing else did.

1:30 Fyi those print dots are actually where the giratinas are stacked before the pack filling process and they trade ink between the texture of the back card and the back of the front card. It was common in the B&W sets. I have the SR Emboar where you can see almost the complete texture lines of the emboar that was stacked behind it. You can also see some of the blue ink stains from the back of the card it was stacked on in the texture. Pretty wild; i really don't think it should be dinged for unique features - it's not damage. I love error cards 😂.

It's funny how KB is advertising for that grading company in the ending but clearly doesn't use it XD

That Ray is beautiful, I’ve been to Japan a few times and seen lots of gold stars in stores just don’t see the Ray too often. It is definitely a very rare card to come by and especially in nm condition. To this day there is no illustration that comes close to being as beautiful as the Ray.
