It's a shame that their shoes are getting more restrictive. Instead of making shoes wider at the toe, many barefoot shoe companies are narrowing their lasts. In the end we will only have Vibram Fivefingers, Realfoot, Ahinsa and Belenka.

I've heard very good reviews about his Freet boots and shoes. I would love to ask for this same model "Mudee 2." However, in the size guide it indicates that the width is 10.4 cm in size 47 EU. My feet are 11.5 cm wide and with wool socks 11.9 cm. They should also be made for wide feet. I have seen that Realfoot and Ahinsa Shoes have widths of 13.3 cm and 12.5 cm in size 47 EU, respectively in their catalogues. I hope Freet also makes shoes for those of us with wide feet. Greetings from Spain 🫡
@FreetBarefoot
@FreetBarefoot 18 күн бұрын
Our width measurement is the straight line measurement of the insole. The actual width of our shoes at the widest part of the forefoot (flex point) is wider by a few mm either side than this measurement (10.4cm, 47) as the foot curves into the side. It depends on the shape of your foot - ie where the most width is. Our shoes fit some wider feet but not all!

@@FreetBarefoot I already have Swale...it's good but Kidepo is the best by far! The best thing about Kidepo is it doesn't smell at all! Like after 6 months of wearing them almost daily all I had to do is wipe them from the outside. Absolutely zero smell inside, like it's a new shoe! Must be the natural material, coffee grounds. Can you tell me why you stopped making them? And is there any chance you may make them again in the future, or at least use coffee grounds to make another model?

Thanks so much for your feedback on Kidepo. Reason: they didn’t sell ! I think for a lot of people the style was not waterproof and not ‘minimal’ enough. We love the coffee and use it on tanga and pace … but it’s very expensive. Noted that we should use on a mid height style again - we will put it on the product road map for considering for next year.

@@FreetBarefoot @FreetBarefoot I'm really shocked and surprised to hear they did not sell! Crazy... Yes they are not that minimal but I don't really care, in fact I like them bulkier, they keep my feet warm when it's cold, and since they're so breathable I have no problem wearing them when it's hot too. And as I mentioned before, the no-smell feature was groundbreaking for me. I wasn't aware you have other coffee grounds models, I will check them out. @FreetBarefoot

The midfoot is a little more fitted than previous styles. The heel is also a little more fitted. The style is quite 'sock-like'. The shoe fits an 'average foot' really well, but is less forgiving for a very high volume oblong shaped foot. The forefoot width remains the same as always.

@FreetBarefoot 2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. We promise to look at how we can continue to accommodate the ‘instep-squarer’ shaped foot! Just to confirm the forefoot widths of all new styles is the same as older styles. There were some inaccuracies on older styles Sizing Guides (eg Mudee), but the actual forefoot widths are all similar. The insoles are very similar widths, older and new styles. The middle (instep) of the new styles is a little more contoured to allow the average foot to fit better here (less baggy). Also the heel shape is a better, slightly more snug fit (less baggy). On new waterproof styles we use a much improved full bootee waterproof lining which may make the initial feel of the style a little more snug when trying on. Hope that helps & sorry to hear you weren't completely satisfied

The Ahinsa Hiker black xwide boot with Vibram sole has the best grip out of most of the barefoot boots I have tested in the conditions you mention as well as the other scenarios. Second on the list with the best grip is the Belenka Ranger 2.0.
@MichaelSheaAudio
@MichaelSheaAudio 26 күн бұрын
@@feinayuso I tried a pair of Ahinsa boots, not with the Vibram sole though. They still claimed to be slip resistant but were actually very slippery. What I should have done first is check the shoes I have and see if any of them grip decently well on floors, and the rubber sole on my Lems Chillum shoes were very grippy when wet. Good thing they use that sole on their boots too, so now I have the Lems Waterproof Boulder boots, even though I don't think they're the best looking, and I don't love how high the ankle comes up. The black colour looks a lot better than the brown though. The Ahinsa Hiker boots are pretty expensive (at least in my current financial situation), and I have the Be Lenka Winter 3.0 boots and those don't have as much grip as people claim. I'd seen the Sons of Sever video on the Be Lenka Rangers and I wasn't too keen on a couple things about them. But I have grippy boots now so I'm good. :P
@feinayuso
@feinayuso 24 күн бұрын
@@MichaelSheaAudio The price of the Ahinsa Hiker Black xWide is at a high price, mainly because of the quality of the Vibram outsole, an extraordinarily non-slip and very resistant to abrasion there is no other better outsole on the market. Let's get the best of Vibram in barefoot boots. The Hiker's vegan leather, which has nothing to do with other cheap synthetic leathers is of a quality and strength difficult to see, and they have a fully waterproof layer and quite breathable. The Belenka Ranger 2.0 has a sole that is not slippery, eye, the first uses if they are more slippery (not dangerous) but following four or five uses, they are already reliable.
