Thank you for your question. I can't speak to the one in Georgetown but I actually live close to a quarry in Cedar Park. It's no longer active but when it was the only thing we noticed was a "boom" sound everyday at the same time. You get used to it. It never really bothered us. If this is something that concerns you I would check with neighbors in the specific neighborhoods you're interested in and simply ask them. Hope this helps.
