I was just 11 years old when my oldest sister bought the Yardbirds Rave Up album in 1966. I became a huge Jeff Beck, ever since. And he was the coolest dude in the world. The face of a real badass, but cool at the same time. If that makes sense.

Flash was cool in my book just a bit dated production wise but the playing is stellar, in a league of his own JB. The dude behind Donnie Osmond is a ringer for Will Ferrell but he was just 18 in 85 so maybe not him.

Breaks my heart seeing Ed in this condition. Can still play incredible but oh my God he looks bad and it was only the beginning of a bad spiral. He fought the demons off thanks to Wolfie only to get cancer. What a horrible story

Thank you for putting this up. I had no idea Jeff Beck played with Pavarotti. This is truly beautiful. Also, it doesn't matter a bit what number on what list Jeff Beck was. He was an artist who created so much beautiful music. He was also, from all I can learn, a truly decent human being - as witnessed by his hiring of women accompanists. From what I've read, those women held Jeff in highest regard, also.

Curious that no one in the comments below picks up on how good and how apt these lyrics are…still. Also hilarious-where are Donnie O (or Marie) or Marylin McCoo now? On a lighter note-does Jeff look like Nigel Tunnel or vice versa?

When you look in the dictionary for the word Cool, Keith Relf's photo comes up. The Yardbirds and the Kinks were my favorite bands in the 1960s and inspired me to get into music.

Only Jeff Beck can make the guitar - Wisper / Talk / Shout / Scream all without stamping multiple pedals - all with his tremolo and volume nobs on the guitar and his magical fingers.

I remember being in high school and 30 something year old co-worker told me to put the hair bands down for a minute and listen to Jeff Beck. I was like, "who?" So I bought the FLASH cassette when it came out. This song blew me away! I listened to that tape over and over while cruising in 71 Chevelle. I remember thinking, "How does he get that sound out of a guitar during the solo? Incredible! " Then when I found out Beck, Jimmy Page, and Eric Clapton were once in the same band??? SUPER Mind Blown!

Eric Clapton and Jimy Page couldn't join them because no one else could fit on the couch I have a funny feeling they didn't like Keith enough to be in their in crowd only Jim was at the funeral why? Why did he have an unmarked grave until the family got one why didn't any of them take care of this
