I was just playing this game on Career. Just so happened to intercept a Japanese task force north of New Britain. It had two Fuso battleships and the mighty Yamato. I focused all of the my torpedoes on the Yamato. Must have put sixteen into her before she finally went down. Still having some torpedoes left, I also got a Fuso battleship. Then one of the destroyers sank itself. I honestly have no idea how that happened. It was dropping depth charges near my position. Then it caught fire then blew up without me firing a shot.

It was a good game... nice graphics and one of the first combat flight simulator games to feature extensive cities with 3-D buildings... it was also one of the few games wherein a player could fly Fighters, medium & heavy bombers & man all the gunner & bombardier positions... but Sadly, due to Jane's Combat Simulations & EA ending their partnership & a constrained budget, the game was released in an unfinished state... the aircraft models weren't as detailed as the ones in Jane's/EA's earlier title 'WWII Fighters'....

This plane has a weird history. There were 18,000+ piston engine models built. They produced a turboprop model with about 50% more horsepower ... and sold a whole twenty five. It's surprising there aren't a third of the piston engine planes that are upgraded to that setup. I guess the collapse of the Soviet Union had something to do with it, but that's been over thirty years.

Hi there. I know it's an old post. Yes you can replace the headlights but you need to get the Wagner headlight brand as these are the original headlights used for these cars that are equipped with the lamp monitor. The number is 4652 for low beam. The newer headlights of today do not have a "knob" between the prongs. This is where the fiber optic cable gets its light source from behind the headlight that runs up to the monitors on the edges. Also you must have a short somewhere as your parking lights are not illuminated when the headlights are on. You should also see an orange indicator on the lamp monitor

I’ve seen this plane fly over my house in Cuba Looks like is very light for it’s size. Is it true that it has little to none stall speed? Looking at the approach landing it don’t take much to stop after touch down. Not too recent a Cuban pilot stole one and flew it to Miami 😅

There's no stall speed. All that happens is that you will start loosing altitude, no stall, no buffet, no clipping. all steady. Maximum T/O weight is 5500kg.

Grass is easier to land on and there's less wear on the tires. we can do 300 landings on paved surfaces compared to 3000 on grass before tires are worn down.

Jag flyger för närvarande ett ATR-flygplan för att försörja mig, och min första soloflygning var en Cessna 140 taildragger ... för många år sedan. Jag skulle vilja se den mäktiga AN-2 flyga. Var i Sverige är det baserat, eller känner du till andra flygklubbar i ditt vackra land där jag kanske hittar en?
