I remember this but I haven't got the chance to watch because of work. Salamindanao Dance Troupe is the best. In 2009 I've got to dance to singkil, it was pretty hard for a non-dancer like me but since I had watched a lot of singkil and Maguindanaon dances, I got ideas how to do it properly and my choreographer was my colleague, R.S.K. I and some female colleagues also tried dancing to fan dance, malong, and others I forgot the actual names.

Pinsan ko Isa rin Sya sa myembro ng dance group na ito, Sya Yung pianaksikat na mananayaw ng tinikling...garabe ka strict ng choreographer nila dito.

nag tataka ako kasi yung mga babae parang maguindanao pero yung mga boys parang lumad. yung step nila similar sa bagobo. pero yung mga babae d ko alam san galing

That music was played live. So unfortunately d nio mahahanap ung good quality ng music na Yan. Ung nririnig nio po na ngdadala s music is gandingan as per the dance entitled Silong sa ganding

Shiiit!!! i love you alma mater!!! so proud Salamindanaon here. parang kailan lang, i'm one of those girls dancing there as back-up. it didn't occur to us na this is how breath taking it is as a whole. super proud member ng Salamindanao here. gosh! super nostalgic ako... ababah.. grabe ged mambu.

An example of a true Philippine dance.... The music is made out of the rhythmic patterns of the Kulintang and Gong. The Muslims of Mindanao were the only sea traders Malay that were never colonized by the Spaniards. So blessed that they preserved this Magnificent and totally Marvelous cultural presentation...Unlike the rest of the Philippines. I love Muslim, Lumad, Ifugao dances rather than Spanish dances like Carinosa and Tinikling.....This is a real ART AND ORIGINAL CULTURA OF THE PHILIPPINES,,,,! MABUHAY!

Tinikling is not a Spanish dance only carinosa.Muslim Mindanao was conquered in the later part of 19th century.

@@luck_0p975 Yes po. You are correct naman po..The Christians Filipinos were heavily influenced by the Spaniards that`s why we lost much of our Malay culture. Lucky and blessed for the Muslims in Mindanao
