it was both. the venue was fairly dark. however, i kept trying to focus the camera on miku because my arms are not good at longer periods of holding stability. not only that, the actual focus at first is poor because miku shows up extremely bright in the video, losing a lot of her detail. so i have to manually decrease the focal exposure to make sure she is as detailed as possible. you can observe me trying to do this in 0:14-0:18 as the overall exposure drops. but the problem with doing this on iphone is that you can't smoothly move it from one place to another; it would take very dotty and inconsistent tapping to retain the focal clarity. having to do this multiple times takes an exponentially tiring toll on one's arms. inevitably, the focus and exposure will not be locked. furthermore, i constantly diverted my attention between filming with my phone and experiencing the concert with my own eyes. this resulted in even less video stability. again, this is my first time filming a concert so i'll try to improve on these for next time
