Customs are certainly unique and can be polarizing, but there is a butt for every seat as they say at the dealers. Art work is well done even if it isn’t someone’s cup of tea. Neat to see on a Goldwing for sure!

As a former Motorsport dealer employee, I always told people if they ever have an issue that falls outside of the factory warranty, a 5 year plan normally paid for itself. This wasn’t just to sell product, but what factory trained tech departments charge hourly, the bill adds up fast.

When I bought my 2005 New, I got the extended warrantie. When I got my 2016, I had such trouble free service, that I didn't get the extended. By now that extended would have about ran out. However the Cruise control module I had to replace would have been covered. However what I paid for that cruise control module would have been about the same cost as an extended warrantie. as you know I do my own maintenance, so i guess for me at least, it was a wash. With your situation, I think the extended is a real smart move. I hope you can enjoy the Goldwing reliability reputation from now on. Oh, did you have that "stuck in reverse" thing checked out? Off to D V this Tuesday! 😄

I bought the extended warranty on my 2019 GW DCT Tour when I purchased it. I was thinking about all the tech on that thing... the alternator IS ALSO the starter? Wonder what that would cost. I haven't really had any issues with mine since new. Sorry to hear about your problems... It hasn't been my experience. Hope that's the last time you'll need the warranty!

Hi Friends! In Finland you get a 4 year warranty for your new Goldwing from the factory plus one year issued by the importer, if you buy your bike from one of the dealers owned by the importer. You have to build a full service history with those importers dealerships to be entitled to the extra year though. The long warranty may be because riding season is max 6 months. No extended warrantys available.

Wonderful to hear from you. We really appreciate your perspective and find it really interesting how differing the two approaches are to importing and servicing. Your thought extra factory warranty year makes sense due to limited riding time. It makes us think of folks living much further north than us. We are blessed with temperate weather here and can ride year round. But then, you get snow machines for half the year…

Well...Sorry to hear that you are having so many issues with your Goldwing. That's definitely rare. But, like any bike, there are bound to be problems. It just isn't heard of that often from a Goldwing. So happy you purchased the extended warranty. Hopefully, all the issues have been taken care of, and you can continue to enjoy your wing.

Thanks for the good wishes- Your right- most Goldwings don’t have this level of problems- thank goodness we’re dealing with Honda-and not a company that doesn’t stand behind their product! Hope all is well with y’all… Thx for your support as always-

This is my second new Goldwing, first was a 2018 and now a 2024 with zero issues. I did purchase extended warranties on both. 5 years no roadside assistance (I have it on my insurance) cost was $710.00. If your dealership doesn't match that price, then you for a Honda extended warranty give Blue Ridge Powersports a call they will email you a quote.

Funny- we were on the Blue Ridge site recently…glad your experiences have been trouble free. Thankfully Honda has taken care of our issues…it’s nice they offer the roadside option…. Thanks for sharing g your experience with the extra protection…

On it Team MARR! Yes they are. It covers some pretty important areas for relatively modest cost. A good dealership worth anything will stand behind a product. They know they will get covered by the MFG. Versus nothing at all. Like no health care. Try paying most doctor invoices out of your pocket. 😢

We were so lucky with the traffic- it was almost like we had the roads all to ourselves at some parts, and in other sections we had to wait our turn, of course- so glad we went. Really grateful you took time to watch and write in - Whatcha riding?

I got an 85 gl about 4 years ago. After a week I decided it was too heavy. I like my bobber. So 4 years later my woman said ,I wanna ride w you. So the choice was obvious. Got a 89 gl1500. Drove it 3500 miles in 10 days 11 states without issue. Thats 1 week after purchase. I got hooked. I now own a 82 naked gl. Next I want a 98+ with a trailer

I'm almost always impressed with hand painted graphics. This one is quite amazing. Quite an attention getter. Looks amazing but for me, my Wing is for riding. This to me is for local riding and display. However quite talented graffics. I wonder what that Dragon cost?!?

Getting chilly. Most have ended their season. Yesterday morning 1-4 celsius. I managed to take a 500 km day trip on my Wing. Not a problem windshield up and grip & butt warmers on full blast. I will keep going untill snow and ice. Keep Winging!
