Very sobering passage! one of my favorites. Especially the reference the Lord uses of Himself in the resurrection of the dead ; the Law and Prophets point to Jesus and yet the Jews denied He had risen and made a cover story instead; they did not repent - just as He says in this passage

The one thing that I find EXTREMELY disturbing about very devout Christians such as yourself is that the concept of hell doesn't seem to bother you. The idea that good, reasonable people who simply disregarded the unsubstantiated, often contradictory claims of the Bible based on a lack of reliable evidence are going to suffer the worst imaginable punishment with no chance of escape or rehabilitation for all of eternity. Millions, billions, trillions of years? Absolutely nothing compared to infinity. *You all believe this is real, and it doesn't bother you.* I'm glad that the Church has given you a sense of purpose & belonging, I'm glad it gave meaning to your life, but I will never, EVER forgive the cost it came at: All the people who don't share your faith simply aren't human beings to you anymore. If they were, you'd be able to recognize how unfathomably sadistic the concept of hell is, and you'd realize you're a sociopath for not caring that even a single person is going there, let alone billions. So much for that "love".

Thank You i appreciate it. at this point in time to me it feels the Name Jesus is just another word i dont know him i know nothing about him i write the bible down read verses but i get nothing i was praying to a jesus that wasnt God and i cant repent because i dont know who im talking to its like talking to a wall. I want to talk to a saint or a prest but i dont have a car so i cant go any where i want to talk to someone that can help me Jesus could but i dont know who Jesus is i make stuff in my head that isnt him. The need to be part of something is Definitely part of human nature. We want to be recognized, appreciated, and wanted. With that understanding of our nature, there are those who use it to shape our thinking and beliefs. With all the media available, no one is left unaffected. The truth is never used in the shaping of our thinking because the purpose is to destroy lives. Look around. There is only one defense, and once it's fully developed it's 100% effective. We must receive a truth bomb. Within the bomb is discernment, enabling us to know right from wrong...good from evil. Our mind and thinking become shielded. Jesus..the way..the truth..and the life. His way, his life is this: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. The strength and power of these words, implemented, are Indestructible. If humanity could grasp a portion of this, we'd be living in a different world, but humanity as a whole, lives within a lie.

God is good. I had become a hopeless opiate addict who had lost everything and everyone and actually ended up in prsion. My 1st day there i was a mess. Disappointed in myself. All the people I hurt and let down How was I going to do this time? ..All the sudden i looked up and cried out to God for the 1st time "How am I going to do this???" And immediately I was blinded by sunlight. Then I felt a warm sense of Peace, Love, and Joy. I was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then I had a vision of my now wife walking in heaven.(More to that) And then Jesus Christ answered me in an audible voice "with me". And it was over, but keft me standing there with the biggest smile Ive ever had. I immediately started going to bible studies and services 3 times a week. Through the word of God and the spirit I became a new creature in Christ. Its been 10yrs niw since ive been removed from that lifestyle. Not 1 day goes by that I dont thank Jesus for his grace and mercy. We worship the living God...and he is definitely good and he is definitely ❤️. 🕊️

Thank you for this message! I really like the fervent detailed prayer of Jesus in John 17. He talks about how we all can be one just He is in the Father and the Father is in Him. Also, Jesus says that even His disciples are NOT "of the world". search the Bible online for the phrase "of the world" and "of this world". I think this could actually shed some light on HOW we could all become ONE in Him and all of the denominations would vanish. Another clue that can lead to this grand unification of followers of Messiah Jesus is to study what "born again" actually means according to the Bible. Study John 3:3 and take a close look at the Greek word for "born", G1080, 'gennao' and the Greek word (what is the metaphorical definition?) for "again", G509, 'anothen' (how is anothen used in the rest of Scripture?). Carefully study how 'gennao' is used in the rest of Scripture and be astounded!
