My orchid is in orchid potting mix. Should I stay with that or switch to moss?

Hi Kadeesha, I’m not in NY but will be cover cropping my raised beds in the Tampa Bay Area in FL for the summer. Not much grows here in the heat. I’m new at gardening so I wonder if you can tell me if I should add soil or amendments to the sunken raised beds now and then sow my cover crop seeds or wait til Fall when I chop & drop the cover crops and amend and add soil or compost back to the beds prior to planting my new Fall crops? Thanks

It is my understanding that this Celandine Poppy is an invasive plant in North America and should be banished from our gardens because it crowds out our Native plants. How sad! It has a beautiful flower and lovely leaves, too. Should I encourage eradication?

Where were the black botanists you were supposed to discuss? You talked about 4? And have you read about George Washington Carver? You could have honored him in his own video re. his accomplishments. You had a wonderful subject that you did not honor. Instead we got a social injustice class. And for LaBron James to equate the NBA to old white men enslaving young black bodies is a joke! The millions he and other players make is not enslavement. What an entitled cry baby. Who has contributed nothing but played basketball really well. I understand why slavery was important to the story but it shouldn’t have been the whole story. Or you should have given this video a different name. You forgot to mention that this was a video of your experiences, of your perceptions of injustice. Not a video of black botanists. I am not white and my people were enslaved long before the Africans were. There have been slaves of all races since the beginning of time. Not just the black American experience. There is slavery today. And no slavery of any kind should ever be tolerated and civilized good people know this. But that shouldn’t be the topic when the title of your video was “Inside Black Botany” I wanted to learn the importance and stories of these people not a bunch of words that are popular today, like micro aggressions and colonizations, and more representation etc. You are two intelligent people that used this platform to further your personal complaints of the world’s injustices instead of celebrating and teaching the importance of Black Scientists. I applaud your effort but you got too sidetracked.
