Yes! Where is the “IDT. It’s how smart people communicate.” I just drive by the building in Newark New Jersey and the IDT logo is still on the building! It’s 2024.

Classic design they should bring back these commercials

They were a pioneer in cash back, since eclipsed by products like the Citi Double Cash. Still, they offer 3% cash back for the first year via cashback match. The (somewhat modified) design is still available last I checked.

Outstanding how they rehearse for the show. Hopefully its more clips out there.

I just saw Connie talking about her new book, a memoir and she said that no matter if CBS had placed a man, woman or even a plant next to Dan Rather at that point Dan Rather was not liking it at all. I'm unsure about his comment at the time saying Connie was and will always be his friend. 🤔

Why the hell was Universal Soldier using music from Terminator 2 Judgement day? The song that plays when the T-1000 is chasing after John on his bike from the galleria is playing in the background during a Universal Soldier preview on this guide, now that's weird.

On January 23, 2020, we lost Jim Lehrer to a heart attack, at age 85. He had a minor one in 1983, when he was 49. This episode was done in June of 2008, when he recovered from an aortic valve replacement surgery. In his absence were Ray Suarez, the late Gwen Ifill, Judy Woodruff, and others.

Kristin Jeannette-Meyers. I thought she was so beautiful. I missed seeing her when they started scrambling the big dish.

They also digitally multiplexed the signal with some other channels to save satellite bandwidth, so it was a cost-cutting move though the scrambling may have been a side effect.

I'm wondering in the Another World soap opera in the 60s once it switched to videotape, did they do the same thing, practice the show from top to bottom, including cueing Bill Wolff to deliver the opening billboard much like how it was done on the game shows back then?
@danielanderson47263 ай бұрын
I wonder if Jay Stewart or Don Morrow did this on SOTC or wouldn't that be Summer Bartholomew's job or Lee Menning's job practicing the prizes plugs to get it right for camera blocking. same thing with Jack Clark or MG Kelly or Charlie O Donnell on AM/PM Wheel of Fortune.

The type of visual effects that were seen in the prize description for that trip to Lake Tahoe at 7:39 were reminiscent of what was seen in the opening sequence for 'The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson' from the mid-80s to the end of his tenure on May 22, 1992. 😎
