Makes me sad that Dale Cooper met this end. He's such a wonderful character forever trapped in space and time, unable to go back to the world he knew and the people he loved.

Hot take. . . This whole season and ending is very underwhelming and disappointing. 80 percent excruciatingly boring to me but no hate if u guys like it enjoy it, I just cant

Coops little alzheimers stoop and hand move when he ponders what year it is so perfect. Such a heartbreaking end to a pillar of certainty. Time is inevitable. The past cannot be saved. Nostalgia is the dream they live inside.

Do y’all think it’s possible that Sara palmer’s voice calling “Laura” in this scene could actually be her attempting to wake Laura up in the pilot episode, but Laura does hear her voice faintly because she is actually asleep in her bed upstairs? Is it possible that the story we see is a dream that attempts to escape from and rationalize the abusive Leland we see in the plain-day reality portions of FWWM? And the scream is waking back up to that horrific reality? Seems like a pretty simple, obvious, but still kind of compelling way of thinking about this story, broadly

Man, this scene really gave me the feeling I got before and after waking up from a nightmare. Terrifying. Best thing I've ever seen in cinema and television combined.

The way she standing in the doorway hiding something behind the door is the same way sarah palmer was standing there. Like she didn't want anyone to see her husband. * I think the moral of the story is that - even in some strange wirld where you're somehow able to go back in time, you can't undo what already happened. Or, if you do try to change things, it only makes everything worse and the next thing you know you're completely lost and unable to go home.

I’ve seen few people point this out, but the way Cooper looks at Carrie is a mix of fear but also realization. That scream belongs to Laura Palmer and Cooper just realized that wherever or whenever they are, he in fact brought Laura back, just that maybe it wasn’t for good.

Maybe Stanley had the right idea. If all 3 journals were burned to a crisp, it would be the ultimate assurance that nobody would ever figure out how to operate the portal let alone finish Bill's work.

At this point in human history, I doubt anything seen on television will ever beat these 4 minutes of artistic catharsis in one of its finest forms. Too bad you didn't include the ending credits.
