@sarkisfitness1112 ok I know I didn't show when you port forwarding for nginx proxy manager if you are running on truenas scale you have to change the port of truenas scale. I had that same problem before ill be glad to show how to do it

@sarkisfitness1112 you need to go into system general settings and the port to change truenas are there let me know if that fixes the problem if not I'll be glad to do a video to show how to do it

@@wolf3five I got that done!! And it worked. But know I have an issue when logging into nextcloud via the public access domain. It just gets stuck loading. Local access works but public no. And there's an error: "AH00558: apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name..."

@sarkisfitness1112 after it did that did you do a refresh of the page and seen if that got it going

That's where I am stuck as well. I installed Nextcloud 30.0.4 on TrueNAS Scale 24.10.1, clicking on the Nextcloud Web UI button or connecting from a browser to port 30027 always takes me to the TrueNAS login page. Two data points: I edited the "trusted domains" section of the Nextcloud config.php file, simply adding ":30027" to the local IP address of the server. Now clicking on the Web UI button takes me to the Nexcloud login screen, with this message: "Access through untrusted domain If you are an administrator, edit the "trusted_domains" setting in config/config.php like the example in config.sample.php." I'm looking through the sample but don't see any obvious fix yet. I think the main difference between your install procedure and mine, is that I chose the truenas default certificate rather than accessing it over unsecured HTTP. But that seems to be breaking it.

@randya.7620 that's strange how it's doing that to you I would start over and just go step by step and then when it's up and running then setup nginx proxy manager for your domain and then add the domain name into the config.php file in nextcloud

I got the same error for my domain

My domain appeared because I had it set up already and I deleted the proxy host and did not delete the ssl Certificate

@printman76 when I set up file browser I add the storage to point to my test dataset or I could just point it to the nextcloud dataset. But I'll be glad to show how I set up file browser also

@riskquantum that's strange because when setup, you're put what the username is and password

Im getting the same issue. Nextcloud has always been very janky on setup

just did a setup of it nextcloud again and did not have any problems i would say go back to nextcloud app and edit the username and password and see if that works for you if not ill look more into it for you and try my best to get it figured out

ok is everone having the error when logging if so then just do it again because its just a thing with nextcloud but if your doing the username and password and it giving you the wrong login or password go to the app and edit it and change the password and see if that fixes it.

@@wolf3five Thanks for the advice and help. I did try what you suggested before and it didn't solve the problem. However, despite being a fresh install, the nextcloud app said that it needed to update last night. I did that and went through your tutorial again. Weirdly, the login said there was an error (which it didn't before, it just failed outright). I tried logging in again and it worked. I did a different instance twice to check and the exact same thing happened both times. Very strange. Regardless, thank you for the tutorial as everything is now working.

ok you have all you crafty datasets set to apps and when setting up filebrowers you have the user id set to 0 for root. that how i have all my crafty setup

im working on a how to install it on custom app on truenas and ill have a video out if i get it up and running
