I don’t mean this in a diminishing way at all, just trying to point out that in today’s job market, i believe it would be significantly more difficult to get the kind of upward movement that you experienced when there are many more candidates in similar jobs that do have a qualified educational background. Not impossible, but often times it would take a lot of expertise and favor with management to convince a company to take a risk on you when there are likely more “qualified” candidates that have bachelors or masters degrees within the field that are also vying for a position.

know what's important too? Compensation, Benefits, Respect, livable wage, retirement plan...does Disney paid these to their employees? Or do they need to go to the Federal Government for assistance?

I can't trust the companies I've experienced. Their slimy. I can do, I have done but something started happening about 10 years ago give or take. I'd prefer the make it happener that no one understands because they don't know, they can't know at this point. We're all going to forget what "progress" means.

I'm going to make an assumption in this case that the difference between management and leadership is that management insisted this be produced and released as quickly as possible, whereas leadership would have made sure the audio level was correct before doing so.

You make such an important point Lee. It's so true, people do business with people. How staff/employees make customers #feel is the greatest influencer to whether or not they keep coming back. Only let your best servers loose on the customers everyone.

I'm dealing with issues at work and not looking forward to going in on Monday due to a recent tiff between myself and a colleague. Thanks for this, I'm hoping I'll deal with this mess with empathy and kindness, hopefully I can gain some respect for this other person, it's been lacking of late.
