This is the second comment I got about it playing like Ark. I'll have to play some Ark to see for myself.
@BucketBucket111 күн бұрын
@byte_wise I've played ark for just under 4k hours (don't shame me) I love the game but if your going to play find a community on ASA (Ark Survival Ascended) to play with, as single player servers tend to be stale and official servers are more often than not unplayable

i sincerely hope pocketpair takes them down a peg or two. nintendo is patenting things that arent even theirs, one of which, "aiming and throwing a capture device at a creature in a 3d space" was literally done before them BY POCKETPAIR, they had it in craftopia
@byte_wise11 күн бұрын
I might have to take a look at Craftopia to get an idea of Pocketpair's first super popular outing
@silverdepth511112 күн бұрын
I wish people would stop saying the game play is like Legends, palworld plays like craftopia that predates legends and craftopia was made by pocketpair. Nintendo is just doing legal bullshit to get their way, they didn't invent the mechanic and I hope the get humbled even with the weird japanese laws, there is a japanese law that makes it illegal to patent a competitor's product that hit the market 1st. Nintendo hasn't put out an original game since... If you think about it, never. Splatoon, no Color Wars on xbox did it 1st, smash bros? There were plenty of platform/fighting games I can't recall the name but I remember playing one in an arcade and one of the stages was on a killer whale. Point is, nothing is original, the whole "there is only 7 original stories and the rest are all derivative" and anyone saying Nintendo has the right can shove it because laws are stupid and not always equal right and need to be changed.

In a world of copyrights and patents, everyone who copies a big company like Nintendo knows they are flying too close to the sun. It's not surprising. Affording the best lawyers pays dividends.
@denisvarga279412 күн бұрын
the thing is, they made this patent almost a year after palworld came out. so they made it JUST because they had zero grounds to sue palworld devs. it is not that "palworld copying pokemon" (which is not true at all btw), it is "we dont like that this game is better than shit that we are making, lets quickly destroy it"
@Arminiusii12 күн бұрын
@@denisvarga2794 And that's why you need expensive lawyers, because they can pull shit out of their asses last minute and win.
@byte_wise12 күн бұрын
It's not surprising, but disappointing nonetheless. I wish they were more open to their ideas being used in new and innovative ways

@@byte_wise I wish everyone was allowed more creative freedom but alas, this is the state of the world, intellectual property is protected as if thoughts were physical objects. Ideas aren't free anymore, they are rentals.

Don't get me wrong, I love Nintendo's games. But you're 100% right. And I'm not saying to not just let people run away with your IP, but they're getting ridiculous with it recently.

It is ark, becouse you can build the same wey, you can explore the same wey, and you can tame the dinos the same wey, Althow the climing from genshin impact is a bit to close to zelda, but its not sirculnwith layers
@РоманПідгайний-п2о12 күн бұрын
@@byte_wiseso basicley tecnology upgraid the same, to tame dino you have to beat it eith a stick or shoot a bunck of rocks till it falls, and then give it drugs so it sleep longer ehile feeding it so they eventualy get tamed, and then you make a seddle and ride dinos if you can make a seddle it is totaly most of the palworkd gameplay

So Batocera supports installing Flatpak packages and has it's own repository where you can install certain things. You can in fact install Steam and Steam Link on this and I did use it once, but the main machine I was streaming from was not powerful enough to stream the gameplay to the Chromebox itself despite being on the network. I can definitely show it off in a future video or short to show it working as an old school Steam Machine!
