Do you ever have problems with the differential not working properly. I have camso tracks on my Outlander 1000 max and just today out on the lake the front tracks were being pushed and going was really hard.

I have aprox 10 thousand km on two can am 1000 only problem was a connection at actuator on side of trans . Or I had a blowen front drive shaft coupler on out put to front drive shaft . ( bolt In coupler backed off allowing coupler to disconnect from shaft )

If you were to put a newbie on a tracked quad, could they mostly go where the snowmobiles go without the huge learning curve of an off trail sled? And you don't get stuck as often?
@windyview643 жыл бұрын
YES , THERE IS STILL A LEARNING CURVE ALWAYS ,, THESE QUADS WILL GO PLACES , LIMITS ARE STEEPNESS WHERE SLED GO IN THE HIGH BACK COUNTRY ,, , NOT AS A BIG LEARNING CURVE AS A SLED BECAUSE YOU DO NOT USE YOUR WEIGHT TO CONTROL MACHINE ,, ONE OF THE BIGGEST LEARING CURVE FOR QUADS IS WHEN CLIMBING AND EITHER YOU LOOSE MOMENTUM OR START TO SPIN OUT , STOP AND BACK ,, HIT THE SAME PATH AGAIN ,,, INSTEAD OF SPINNING IT DOWN AND GETTING IT STUCK , BUT IF YOU GET IT STUCK THERE IS A EASY TRICK TO GET THEM OUT , YOU CAN MOSTLY GO WHERE A SLED GOES BUT ALL OF THIS IS ON ONE CONDTION , SIZE OF MACHINE , KIND OF TRACKS AND A BIT OF COMMON SENSE
@1966cambo3 жыл бұрын
Really enjoy your videos! Do you notice any difference between the various machines you ride with? I know the CanAm has the most power but how does it compare fuel wise? Any other thoughts would be appreciated as I am thinking CanAm North Addition 850
@windyview643 жыл бұрын
i am riding with all the brands , can am i like over other brands , yes power is good but can am has swing arm rear suspection and when in snow there is a lot less snow that is trapped into rear of bike compared to a-arm rear suspenction , before i was changing c/v boots on rear a-arms suspection bikes ( i would clean snow or ice from boots if we had stopped for a hr or so warm boot would melt snow , sit for to long ice then rip boot ) but on swig arm with gaurds remove ( gaurds trap snow and not needed in winter ) alot less snow and weight , my can am fuel tank is bigger than others , as far as fuel consumtion they are all about the same ,, how hard you are running machine will change fuel consumtion more than any thing .. these quads are about the same fuel consumtion as a sled ( sled has a larger tank ) so i carry 2 1.5 gallon cans , if i burn all my fuel it was a long day 8 am to 9-10 pm of running ,, buy for now

BACKING UP IS NOT A PROBLEM , THEY LIFT UP AS YOU BACK UP IF YOU HAVE ANTROTATION SET UP RIGHT , ON CAMSO TRACKS IF NOT SET UP CORRECTLY THEY CAN BE WORSE FOR BACKING UP BUT ON THESE APACHE TRACKS BACKING UP HAS BIN GOOD ( HAVE APROX 2000 KMS ON THESE TRACKS NOW JUST PUT APROX 250 KMS ON LAST WEEK IN 8 T0 15 FEET OF SNOW AT MANY ANGLES ECT ) BUILDING A VID NOW FOR LAST ADVENTURE
