So very helpful, genuinely, thank you!!! Am a readmitted/returning student haha, it means a lot, thanks for this review! I'm taking Notes & goodness willing, passing these Accu. math tests! [I didn't know what to study when I initially took it & ahh I'm definitely going in more prepared now with reviews - videos - practice tests - instructional videos - Hopefully it all pays off but am taking my time to prepare]. i have been binge watching your videos in preparation for my exams, i just want to note the question what is 15% of 64... i thought is 9.6.. though the answer is not in the options so how is it 48.5.... which is almost 60% of 64

On step 3, why did you divide to cancel the 2? Is it because you were distributing and simplifying in step 1 and 2, but trying to get the x by its self in step 3? Thx!

Hi there! In step 3, we have 2x=6; at this point our goal is to isolate the x (or any other variable you could have) and have it on its own. As you can see on the lefthand side of the equation, we have multiplication (2x or 2 multiplied by x), and the only way to remove the 2 from there is by dividing by another 2; (2x/2 the denominator and the numerator cancel out and we get x on its own). And since we are dividing one side of the equation by 2, we have to make sure the other side is also divided by 2 (6/2 = 3). That’s how we get x = 3. Hope this helps you!

26:00, are you using the Y constant, or the X? If the X, why didn't you make it a negative 4 that you multiplied by?

When you are solving a problem like this, you want one variable to cancel out to zero. So, the goal is for them to have the same coefficient and opposite signs. Since the x-terms already had opposite signs, you don't want to multiply by any negatives. Hope this helps!

Thank God I found this video. So helpful. The first time I took the math Accuplacer I got a 226. I could have passed on my 2nd try if I studied more. I scored 236. With the help of God. I know I can get 243 or higher. Will update on July 24, 2024 the results. Update: My Score did go up by 3pts ,but I did not pass. That math got me.

I have been trying to contact and reach out to the people responsible for my exam, but they refuse to answer my questions so I thought maybe you could answer? I am going to college this fall and I am required to take a placement test. Do you know the amount of questions that may be on the placement exam? How many points do I need to pass? (To be placed in college level English and Math)? What’s the highest and lowest scoring on placement exams?

@@patelparth6533 I don’t take it until next week Wednesday. I have been extremely unmotivated due to high levels of stress. My stress is caused by experiencing unemployment, financial problems, no money for gas or food (I’m E on gas and snack on pretzels everyday and that’s it) and experiencing harassment on the streets everyday. I’ve been refusing to do anything so I may just fail..

Or, if you want to estimate, take 10% of the original number, which would be 4, and multiply it by 2 to get 20%. If 20%=8, then 18% would be your estimate

When you’re dividing something, say 8/3, how do you know when the decimal is repeating? Without a calculator

Usually the third number behind the decimal is duplicated you only see this in the decimal format such as 0.333 0.199 0.877 if the two numbers near the end duplicate instead of all 3 it's safe to assume the probability of an infinite number is definitely higher.

You can also know it's repeating if your doing long division and you can't ever reach zero getting the same repeating numbers to attempt to solve

Do i have to revise other properties of probabilites like mutally exclusive events and can concepts of grouped data be tested in descriptive stats.(I am giving accuplacer after Alevels ,Alevels is way to advanced then this thats why i am asking)
