This won't be a permanent solution unless you apply some sort of protectiion against UV light which is a major parrt of the cause of foggy headlights. The easiest way to apply UV protection is to put a couple of coats of clear coat after having cleaned and polished the ligght units. A rattle-can of 1k clear coat will do the job. If you do this you can skip the buffing step as the clear coat will transform the headlights dramatically once the 600 & then 1500 wet sanding has been done.

Hey! 😄 You have a similar engine with some beautiful twin sisters on the side called turbos! 😂 You also have the same plastic three-way tube under the throttle body. This is a very common problem with 4.4L engines-we just replaced one on my son's X6M!
