Great footage of this once-important line. Well done Gabe and thanks for the on-screen descriptions.

Well done Gabe, absolutely appreciate the part where you went into the power van which passengers never get to see. Your friendly Train Manager really looked after you. Have subbed and look forward to catching up on your previous reports! Dave, Gippsland Vic.

Great video mate. Good to see a young person getting out there and discovering our country. The only critique I have is the narration came through as mono on my PC. I hope to be taking this service later this year, as a bucket list/special treat for myself. Whilst it's lovely having a luxury tourist experience, it'd be better if VLine, at least, offered a daily commuter service, similar to the Sydney - Melbourne XPT.

Top presentation young fella. As a young lad (many years ago) who visited and stayed with relatives in Ararat, my brother and myself developed a lasting fascination with trains. My brother went on to become a locomotive driver, We both continue to be interested in collections of restored locomotives and rail motors. Ararat was once a junction for trains from Portland, Hamilton and Maryborough. There was a wonderful collection of steam engines housed at the local yards with a large turntable in operation. Unfortunately progress brought about the demise of all the rolling stock that operated 24/7. Cheers and good luck. Maintain the passion!
