I am glad these two professors are trying to reveal some of the untruths in Islam. However, at about minute 34 he speaks of the necessity for Islam to no longer have Muslims act like Muhammad himself. They need to explain that there was NO Mecca, no Muhammad at the time (570-632 AD) they claim Muhammad lived. No vowels in the Arabic alphabet; only 16 consonants. The word is MHMD and it means “the praised one.” It is found in the Bible a number of times, 500 years before. The vowels were added about 150 years after the supposed death. Bottom line: These two fine gentlemen need to coordinate their teaching with the ever increasing team of Rev. Dr. Jay Smith. When the understand the actual level of factual data, they will be better at bringing Muslims Back To Christianity. They are correct…the regular Muslims only know what they are told by the Imams….they are not allowed to “cross that line.” I am going to continue viewing past minute 35.

It sounds like Dr Blakemore is suggesting that free will remains after death and “purgatory” is a process which requires our corporation. If so, wouldn’t this imply that free will also remains in hell? And would God continue to honor free will?

Yes and no. It is true that there is no differentiation between Jew, Greek, Scythian, Barbarian, slave or free, but that Christ is all and is in all. But what no one seems to acknowledge is that in Jeremiah, it explicitly states that God was to make a new covenant with Judah and with the house of Israel. Not the gentiles, although they benefit from this covenant. Indeed if the Jewish people ceased to be, there is every reason to believe that there is no longer a partner for this new covenant to persist through, as it relies on a covonental partner with which the contract is created. The new covenant was made with Israel (the nation as a whole) and them alone, that the whole world would be blessed. The fulfillment of Israel as a blessing to the nations will, as Paul argues in Romans 11, take place when Israel as a whole (a large number of Israel) receives Jesus as their Messiah.

First, the question I asked you about UMC/GMC in the Melissa interview are actually what is being addressed in THIS podcast. BUT, in this podcast near the 20 minute mark, Dr Bounds has used the “word” GMC several times when I was expecting to hear him say UMC…but now at 24:30 he has said UMC. Is this his slip of the tongue?, or is there actually talk within the GMC regarding sexual acceptance (like the UMC)???? Please.

I am a former UMC, now GMC. Can you say whether there is a (at least partial) number of those in the hierarchy of the UMC, especially prior to the split, that mirrors some of the things Melissa is detailing.

I did the heaven and other destinations study earlier this year it is awesome.

This is really bizarre. There is more Biblical support for having slavery than there is for condemning LGBTQ relationships. Since the GMC did this schism with the UMC, they are just as culpable as the Southern Baptists who were founded on maintaining slavery.

IM 52 and I have been with him since I was 16, 3 children, and I'm out. He did all this, silent treatment for weeks, 10 to be exact once, he has been cheating my son now is abusive physically towards me just like his Dad. Thanks for this video, I am healing now. Knowing there are so many people out there who are going through what I did makes me so sad, but you need to get out ASAP.

It reminds me of Wesley when he said, forgive me for the inaccurate quote, he preceded the “think and let think” quote with, “as long as it doesn’t strike at the root of Christianity.” I came to the thought if one can redefine the definition of sin ( which we cannot), then do you need the cross? Christ died for our sin in accordance with the scriptures, He was buried and He was raised on the 3 rd day in accordance with the scriptures. The root is the Cross of Jesus.

In context of Dr. Bounds' comments about the episcopal government: how is the GMC adapting or eliminating the episcopal model so that this 'problem' does not repeat in a few decades? What safeguards are being put in place to prevent the leadership from overriding the wishes of the conferences and individual churches at the doctrinal level?

The 26 years we worked In Pastoral Care. Ministry was wonderful. Now retired one month is still filled with ministry opportunities. Do not cease some type of services when you’ve retired.

Read this book years ago-it is excellent

Good interview I agreed with most of it, BUT yall are wrong on an important point: The 25 Articles and EUB Confession and the proposed combination of the two by the GMC. I know through the "grapevine" as a GMC person myself why leaders and thinkers in the GMC proposed that in the WCA Rough draft and later in our Book of Discipline to begin with: 1. Thomas Cranmer was a straight white man (And so was Wesley). A certain strand in the GMC is really big on Multiculturalism and Globalism. They insist that our Creed or Confession be written by a racially diverse group of people and have women contributors as well. So in other words Cranmer's Articles fails the DEI Test 2. The 25 Articles are offensive. There is a certain strand in the GMC that insists on only positive thinking, positive messages. Thus they have a disdain about fire hell brimstone preaching and any statements about rejecting X Y or Z. They insist on positive statements only. Thus our 25 Articles are denounced as "Anti-Catholic" and not ecumenical. They don't want any statements about what we reject, only statements about what we support. 3. Eastern Orthodoxy and Anglo-Catholic Obsession. There is a growing de-protestantization among Methodist scholars (the legacy of Billy Abraham and even Tom Oden). The Anti-Catholic Articles stand in the way of their pro-Anglo-Catholic/Eastern Orthodox agenda. 4. Making Room for Changes. The EUB Confession was written by liberal scholars under the influence of Neo-Orthodoxy in the 1960s. Thus the original Confession that the EUB had at its formation in the 1940s was changed, namely the affirmations of Depravity, Bible the Word of God and Christ the Only Way, were all dropped. By slight changes in word order, slight changes in sentence structures, by dropping a word here or there, radical changes were made. Thus the proposal to "combine" (i.e., change) the 25 Articles the GMC has opened the Pandora's Box to make Methodism whatever they themselves want it to be. Again, we have a Restrictive Rule that allows for the adoption of new Confession of faiths, so long as they agree with the trio of doctrinal standards established by Wesley himself, but instead the GMC leadership decided to ignore the Restrictive Rule all together and open the door to make Methodist theology whatever they want it to be, unrestrained by Wesley's previously established doctrines. 5. Wesley's Standards Sermons and NT Notes were made "Normative Standards" as a temporary category since GMC leadership does not know if they even want to keep them as doctrinal standards or not. Again, there are many of us, myself included, who are very conservative and are hoping for a more conservative direction for the GMC. But we do have a uphill battle to climb. As of now, the GMC ranges from everything from Inerrantists (like myself) to people who are basically UMC 2.0 but minus gay marriage. Again, that Reformational heritage yall spoke about, Arminianism and Reformed Theology, are all under threat of disappearing in the GMC if a certain more liberal faction has their way....

Nothing wrong with the name Evangelical. Who cares that the New york Times does not like it? It is a beautiful word and concept. By the way "evangélico' is the word used Spanish and Portuguese as sinonim of Protestant and it is the word always used.
