Great honest review...you seem to have great experience using the two kayaks I’m considering. Can you please provide some feedback on how the Bonafide vs Mayfly tracks/speed on open water in the wind and maneuvers on a river in wind ? Did you install the wings on the Bonafide? Thank you so much in advance.

Great demo! I’m trying to decide between the SS127 and the ultraskiff 360... I’m not sure which route I’ll go yet.

I can tell by your conversations that you are a Jackson man. Love their new Blue Sky Boatworks angler 360. Now that's a boat!

I’ve owned a bunch of different boats. My first was a Hobie PA 14. I’ve had multiple Wildy’s and my share of Jackson’s also. I hope to get the chance to demo and review a Blue Sky for sure.

Ad far as that front hatch goes. One that opens to the side does the same thing. Not a innovation as far as I'm concerned.

I demoed the Bonafide, great kayak, great price, super stable......and I was surprised how well it tracked with that pontoon style hull. All things considered, this beat out the Coosa HD. I bought one, getting it rigged-out now, added flush rod holder behind the seats. Added the new Bernie's River Stick plate, no brainer against the Power Pole. If you haven't heard of this product, check it out. I run the Anchor Wizard off the front and secure the back with the River stick. Great review, enjoyed it.

Thanks Tony. We will have to look into that new river stick.

Tony Jones for what reasons did it beat out the coosa hd? I’ve been paddling the HD for a couple years now and I’m thinking about upgrading if it’s worth it

It's lighter, tracks better, cuts through wind easily, larger two-way hatch, large sliding drawer under seat, the seat is in a class of its own, more stable. I'm 6'2" 240 lbs, I've walked to the farthest point of the rear, kayak nose barely lifted out of the water. The kayak has perchpads that allow you to straddle the kayak for enhanced sight fishing. Come with deck traction pads, it's $200.00 cheaper. I would recommend installing flush mount rod holders in its traditional location, but excellent kayak.

Tony Jones thank you! That all sounds great to me

Move it around a little easier...................Laffin...............I noticed you didn't film getting down there or getting it in the water. Next time show the reality of having to move that thing by yourself without dragging it.
@SaltyNate6 жыл бұрын
Steve Steve why wouldn’t I drag it? I drag my kayak almost every time I use it.
@stevethedude87406 жыл бұрын
Let's see you throw it up on roof racks then take it down all by yourself. Then after that let's see you by your self get it down a rocky cliff about a hundred yards to the water without killing the car roof, the yak, or your back . I 'm serious. I'm sick of these 80 pound yaks magically appearing in the water.
@SaltyNate6 жыл бұрын
Steve Steve easy solution lol, don’t do any of that! I wouldn’t car top an 80 pound kayak, I wouldn’t drag it down a rocky cliff, and I rarely if ever drag it hundreds of yards. If you insist on doing that then there are better choices.

So basically what you are saying is I need truck or a trailer and boat ramp to use this yak. How stupid is that on about ten levels. And one wonders why Native Americans invented canoes for rivers and Eskimos used yaks on open oceans. Tell Luther to build a 13/32 foot sub 50 pound canoe with a killer seat and the world will beat a path to his door.

Steve Steve I couldn’t care less what you do. I did a review of a great new boat. Plenty of us find a way to get it in the water without any more fuss than any other kayak. Good luck solving your issues.
