At 6:51 there is a board saying that a woman, Wendy Lewis, was given Carn Brae castle for being the first woman over the line for a walking race from John O'Groats to Lands End. It's taken me an hour and I still can't find out if it's true. I found one site that said she bought the castle and that she won ½ £1000 🤷♂️ Never expected this video to take me down that rabbit hole lol

I have been using that campsite since 1976 when I hiked the Coast to Coast as a way of getting fitter to join the Army. After I let the military I often went back for the Peace and Quiet. I used it again on my Hike to Scafell in 1980 and have returned approx every 2 yrs since then. That are is registered as the Wettest Area in the UK. Most of the time I have used it I alway pitch my tent near the Toilet Block as its the highest part of the site. Remember what happened this year if you ever return. All the Best for Future Adventures. Tony the retired Hiker in Essex.

Way back in 1976 I too climbed Scafell as a way of getting fit to join the military. I will be re-creating that again this year in July to Celbrate my 67th Birthday.

This place has stunning view and very interesting history. If you want to visit this place by car you should know that there is weird traffic jam, but you can buy a ticket which is valid 7 days.

Thank you very much for the video and for your personal recommendations. These places are really famous and are places of massive traffic jams. But after watching the video, I realised that the Land's End is not such an interesting place for me to visit. I really liked the Minack theatre, it has a great location, great view over the ocean and cool atmosphere created by the architecture. It would also be exciting to see a live performance in this open-air theatre.

Looks like that gorgeous places сall us to feel it’s atmosphere and see the beauty. Minack Theatre is really stunning, unique and quite ancient place located on the open area near the ocean. The theater looks majestic, ocean view breathtaking. The Lands End is real tourist trap because of its location and authenticity. But there are so many different activities, that being there you may not see as time flies. The best thing is the time during which entry ticket is valid. It helps to dip into the atmosphere of that place as well as possible. Nevertheless that there are always lots of tourists these adorable places, even it may be named sights, are definitely worth to visit at least once in the life in person.

The Minarck theatre and the Land’s end are really stunning and gorgeous places. I would like to visit it one day with my husband because we are a big fan of travelling. In the long term we are planning to visit England , rent the car and see as much famous places (biggest tourist traps😁) as we can. It looks like the next dream for me!

Thank you for the video. It seems very interesting places. I never was in this " open air theater ' and I think it is amazing. In your video I saw a stunning view, a lot of rocks and how sun brightly shines to the sea. I add this place to my list "To visit". And thank you for your true comment about "Lend End".

I don’t usually get involved in correcting people, but obviously what you were doing with your channel depends wholly on accuracy and description for travellers, not only that I am a Devonian and we invented the party and it doesn’t matter what the corner say so I have sent you evidence of this so you can put an apology on your channel for disrespecting or Devonian ha ha The Oldest Pasty Recipe in the World Although the pasty is most commonly associated with Cornwall, the oldest known recipe for pasties is actually from Devonshire dating back to 1746. We’ve reprinted it here for you if you want to try it yourself. Nowadays, pasties are great for lunch or dinner when served with just about anything. Do you have your own recipe that you use? Perhaps you have on passed down through the generations? Let us know by leaving a comment below. Best wishes and enjoy in your channel Chris.

Fun fact: Holywell Bay is also a location that's going to appear in the forthcoming Game of Thrones prequel. Also the SW Coast path was originally created to try and curtail the endemic 18th century smuggling by providing a route for Customs Officers to quickly get from one cove to another.

As a Londoner, who’s depressed by the gloomy weather and boring landscape, I was blown away when I went Cornwall. Although it was like 6/7 hours drive, it was worth the 4 days trip with my family. Totally felt like a Mediterranean Destination

Searching Scottish Indians made me find a city called Kolkata, India and made me buy a soft drink called Irn-Bru from Scotland this year. Next year, would like to buy Singapore's Irvin Salted Egg snacks online because I have been to Singapore by transit before. My budget is $US250 for online purchase a year. You can find cassava snacks in fiji too. But since I am from fiji - I will buy potato, fish skin and salmon skin ones only.
