This is such a painful exercise in watching someone of deep privilege steamroll over someone who has been through true struggle. Not to mention the highly unprofessional and creepy ‘babes’ and sexual comments from Thorn.

You should be very specific when talking about the origin of vogue. You should explicitly state it was Black LGBT/Queers who created it, then the Latinx lgbt/queer joined in the act. This aspect of the history very important rather than being cowardly or being politically correct by simply saying lgbt or queer community, thereby lumping other ethnic groups within the lgbt community who have nothing at all to do with its creation and development. Even the term people of colour is misleading. Be very specific rather than contributing to the errasure of Black lgbtq people's history and cultural heritage. This really p-s me off! How can you show appreciation and respect for the art form when you errase the very people who created it? I'm not even a Black American but i know the history and it's origins.

I need all the vogue aficionados under 45 or so to legit stfu 🤬 literally you wouldn’t know what the fuck it is were it not for madonnas impact on popular culture. Please stop saying it’s an insult to say it has something to do with her- yes she had her ear to the streets & brought a niche art to the forefront & for that you should be nothing but grateful! Did she invent it- no, clearly! BUT SHE IS THE REASON YOU & most people know what it is in the first mfkn place-Quit vilifying Madonna for other people not knowing their facts.

I believe that the reason why conservative LGBTQ+ people are perceived to be seen as strange. Is because we expect people of a suppressed group to be more emphatic and able to see and fight for rights of other suppressed groups. And conservatives are the exact inverse. Not emphatic to other groups other than their own. And plenty of conservative LGBTQ+ people have finally seen that those choose a wrong life philosophy and made the choice to be more emphatic (better human imo).

The fact that you as a queer person have to clickbait with Madonnas name is so sad. "Better than Madonna"...what does that even mean? Who said Madonna is the best/first Voguer anyway... and then you show these lame moves...I don't even know where to begin... Before Madonna brought Vogueing to the mainstream (which in itself was another iconic Madonna stunt and makes her the ultimate stunt queen in pop) there was two other women who Vogued on stage: First a foremost Jody Watley, who Vogued and whaacked (before there was a name for it). She was best friends with the legendary Tyrone Proctor and was one of the most iconic Grammy award winning pop stars in the world. She was the first to merge high fashion and streetwear in mainstream pop since the late 70ies...Miyake, Westwood and yes the Gaultier cone bra in 1983 in her first solo video "where the boys are". She also showcased the first posing choreographies in that same video. Later she wore the red cone bra again in 1987 on the cover of her huge hit "Don't you want me". She also was the first to sing a duet with a male rapper ("Friends" with Rakim is also the first AND LAST video that brought Vogueing and hardcore rap together). Jody also introduced cat walking to the mainstream in her iconic "Real Love " video in 1989! She was also the first pop star to be on the cover of fashion magazines and model for fashion brands (before Rihanna, Beyonce and whatshernames). The second female to Vogue in Mainstream was Taylor Dayne who used to perform with Vogue dancers in the underground before she became a huge pop star. Madonna was the third (and as the most famous woman in the world in 1990) she took 11 gay POC dancers with her on the legendary "Blond Ambition" tour. She donated up to 5 million Dollars a year to AMFAR and was one of the few starts to support the gay community...In a time where there was no gays on mainstream TV and AIDS was rampant and people called it the gay disease. Before you put her name into your Gen Z mouth you should wash it ....and at least do your homework! Respect the people who made it possible for you to prance in bad Vogueing tutorials.

Amazing panel. Bit weirded out by Abi though. It’s alleged that she assaulted Contra and as a Contra-stan it freaks me out. Trans visibility is soooo important but calling assault out is too. 🤷‍♀️

Those allegations originated from 4chan, as far as I can tell. I’m not trying to criticize you, and I appreciate your concern. But do you really think it’s wise to cancel one of the greatest champions Trans people have right now over a hypothesis that came from the deep dark underbelly of the Clear Web? Natalie Wynn herself has never said anything in support of this claim, and until she does, I think it’s safe to consider it illegitimate. She’s a real human adult, she doesn’t need people to defend her from phantom threats, unasked. The evidence for this idea that Abigail Thorn assaulted Natalie is extremely sparse, and it really just seems like a huge leap to me. Abigail has, in every regard, revealed her character to be of high quality, and it would be deeply out of character for her to commit such heinous atrocities.

Paris grew up bullied violently...a victim of homophobia, and goes on to write a book "What it feels like for a girl." Homophobia and bullying for gender non conformity is labelled as "being a girl" Go figure.
