Remember when pilots used to try to get “flight” time? The pilot who tries to pad his flight hours with unnecessary time taxiing around to meet a requirement, will likely eventually start fudging his log book. You’re only robbing yourself dude. The only time excessive taxi will provide any skill building benefit to a pilot is if you put a pilot out on the ramp in a 20-30 knot wind in a J3.

Very nice work. Liked and subscribed. I was a NC National Guardsmen for 13 years before moving and PCSing to Maryland. Saw a lot of private flights fro RDU/KRDU. Looking to go through pilot training here and hopefully purchase my own plane in the next year. Do you find low wing to be a better plane than high? What do you use in your iPad for nav?

Nothing like building flight hours on the ground! Why is that guy even flying? If you have 40 mins to burn, that's a lot of pattern work and fun flying!
@ddthompson423 жыл бұрын
That’s what I was thinking. No way I’m spending $150/hr to taxi.

Hey Patrick, what filters are you using to shoot this video? Looks really good
@GeoffreyDean333 жыл бұрын
Outstanding video Patrick. I love the fact we can hear the engine. Most flight videos we hear only the voice. Did you mix camera audio? Also the color was really nice. Almost looks like you added a LUT in your edit. And most importantly, it was interesting content to this new student (at 63 yrs old).
@GeoffreyDean333 жыл бұрын
I just visited your KZbin Channel. LOL... you're also a wedding filmmaker. Also as in me too.
@WildBillTurkey3 жыл бұрын
Wow, the quality is ridiculous compared to the usual GoPro KZbin stuff. Every shot looks like art. But please, fewer arm's-length self-shots where the background moves and turns like crazy in one direction then the next. It gets uncomfortable to watch after a few seconds, and there was a lot of it while you were talking on the ramp. But seriously, do a lot more videos like this! Such a joy to see the beautiful photography and movie-quality editing!
