I was there in a couple of bands and we always used to do lights out and rock bottom as warm-up or cover tunes usually the long extended versions so the guitar players can get their rocks off

Hands down the top dogs of the seventies and into the eighties, so many number one hits that never got the recognition they deserved. If you look back, there were too many fly by night bands coming into the scene taking the exposure away from them when they deserved it the most. Phil Moog was right up there with Plant, Daltrey and Jagger and I don't even want to start with Schenker on where he belonged on the list of great guitarists during that era. Thank God we were able to be around back then to witness UFO do their magic. Good Stuff

In 1978 when I was 17 searching for a guitar in San Diego, my Dad (AA airline pilot) goes into Rick Derrigers custom guitar shop in New York, he is in full uniform of course, goes in looking around, likes (for me) what he sees, this sales guy comes up to him, chats a bit and gives my dad a brochure to bring home for me. Well, he gives me the brochure and says, yea that’s the guy I was talking to Rick Derringer, hahaha
