No doubt about it, i definitely see this stud hoisting many trophies on sunday, my favorite on tour, and i dont know the man but he seems ligit, humble, well spoken, just all around tremendous Athlete, they breed them right over there in Swed, similar to the asian culture, focused, practice is extremely important, dedication to what your goals are, ! Thank you, i enjoyed the breakdown and the trail elbow on how and why it works that way.i have to say , out of all the tour pros out there i try to catch as many breakdowns or information on this stud, definitely a generational Athlete, lets enjoy him while we can. But sometime even though the sweds have that killer extinct , the American lifestyles doesn't sit right with there Damien, i hope he takes it all in on his terms, he seems to dominate the first 3 days and then falls off on sunday or late in Saturdays round, i was hoping he was going take the open Pinehurst, first 2 days he killed it and just fell off. Idk, anyway bla bla bla, sorry bit of a rant, but hes definitely someone to talk about.

For me I have to do this as a trigger for my hips to fire before my arms. I kept having issues with my arms leading the swing and my hips firing too late, absolutely could not shake it. Stomping that heel down drives my hips forward ahead of my arms allowing me to hit more consistently. Weirdly I shorten my backswing to 3/4 when I do this but power is not a concern for me. I've spent my life as a power athlete (boxing, football, powerlifting, etc) so I do not need to swing hard for a lot of power. If anything I have to back off on the power a bit to maintain control.

This Way with so many point in analysing the swing it’s just the way the muscles of the body react to golf swing or jumping running. Your videos really stupid.
@theexcrim9 күн бұрын
we were advised not to this move years ago, I used to do it naturally
@tg676910 күн бұрын
It is tucking the right elbow. That's the key. Ive done this. If you let your right elbow get away from your body on the take away, it is more of a baseball swing on the strike. If you tuck the right elbow, the swing becomes more slingshot-like. And the ball flies way higher and straighter. The hard part is to commit to that swing.

I’m not gonna say that isn’t effecting his speed, but regardless, your speed is generated in the last half of your downswing anyway. That’s why so many people lack speed, they try and do it all from the top, that’s the reason you want to create lag in your downswing
@slytown29 күн бұрын
The reason this swing was so good was because it had all the elements of a good swing, but he could full send it. He wasn't guiding the club into certain positions. Just a pure, athletic swing.

Scotty’s stance is very wide for an iron which is why he has to slide his back foot forward on the follow through. His hips have rotated all the way through the ball and he has to drag his back foot forwards to keep up with his hips (his right leg is only so long).

When you watch this type of swing, you have to ask, what's the point of golf instruction?
@joeyclark39952 ай бұрын
No golf coach teaches this action. They are all probably sitting there critiquing it like there is something wrong with his swing. This guy is a prolific ball striker and a prolific winner. You have to question today's golf instructors and their systems? I just wonder how he doesn't roll his left ankle and not end up getting a syndismosis injury.

Thank you for this analysis. As a retired, disabled PGA pro, I can no longer play but enjoy analysing swings to see what I could have done better 50 years ago with the benefit of modern videos and technology. Scottie's swing does look ungainly but it is a "swing" rather than the modern tendency to achieving a series of positions, often putting great strain on the back (Zalatoris, Morikawa, Cantlay). I agree with you that Scottie may have future back issues (as I did early in my pathetic career) but this may be mitigated by the way he keeps his spine more upright (like Nicklaus or Woosnam) than most modern side-crunchers. The impression I get is that Scottie's "feel" is to keep the club in the widest possible arc, minimal wrist break and minimal lead arm fold on the follow through. This width on the follow through (14.27) works for him but I don't think this should be copied, it could put a lot of strain on the back, unless accompanied by an upright spine which is vilified by most pros. Thanks again.

Hi, thanks for the nice comments :) The technology in the last few years is so good! I dont know if I could coach without it... golf coaching was much more of a skill years ago!

Something else to note. Pause at the top of your backswing, and notice where your hips are. Whenever you turn your hips through the swing, you want your front hip to go back to where the back hip is at instead of bringing the back hip into playing with the front hip. If you can learn that as well as what this man just showed you and your strike the ball better than anyone you know.
@bawbq53053 ай бұрын
This was the sole thing that I worked on at the range today and I never said a word. How the hell does my phone know 😭 You’ll always hear that the best ball strikers in the world move their hips earlier than everyone else. Try it for yourself and neurologically unlock the ability to get your hips driving forward before you start your downswing.

why do ppl love to hate??? Tiger has played w/him and said he's got a decent game (for an amateur), John Daly has said the same thing. I've heard other pros make similar statements. Trump is not a pro, by any means. I'll believe the ppl who have played with him over anyone who hasn't. Could there be ppl who say otherwise, sure. IDK. I just don't see the point of making comments when one has no personal reference! I will not say how good he is or isn't. This pro (Ross Eves Golf) has said that he seems to do well for what he's got. I'll wager Trump plays more golf than most ppl, other than pros, so by simple virtue of practice, he's got to have some sort of game. I play one day per week in the summer and shoot in the low 90's. On a good day, I'll shoot low 80's. Assuming that Trump plays 3x/week, at the courses that he owns and others that he can play, of championship quality, he likely shoots mid to high 70's.
